Call out to the Once Male Fans

I am male. It may be aimed at women but uh did anyone notice that the actresses that play Regina, Emma, and Mary Margaret are all either adorably cute or incredibly pretty or just plain hot?

If that isn't enough for ya yeah we also have the dragons and swords and magic but there's as much eye candy for the fellas watching as for the ladies so yes if by nothing else other than casting I believe ABC knows men are watching too!

I'm one of the male fans too! My wife and I watch the show - also via iTunes and not live. I probably would not have started us watching it were it not for Horowitz and Kitsis' involvement with LOST, a show that I completely loved (but started watching after the second season was over). Helps that this show is quite similar in terms of layers and connections and mysteries and such.

I'm a male fan. Among my friends it seems like I am the only male fan of the show. I've started watching it since Snow Falls. I bought the first five episodes and DVR'd every episode since and have seen each at least a few times. I get something new after each viewing.

I enjoy watching the show and concur with both OnceFan and SuperPac. Ms. Goodwin, Morrison, Parrilla, and Ory have each had their moments of Emmy winning performances in this first season, plus they are all very attractive ladies . You add those quality actors to a great story and writing and you have a keeper. I praise Horowitz and Kitsis for their approach of storytelling. Horowitz and Kitsis seem to be making a conscious effort to answer viewers questions and theories within their story line; but not give to much away - they are striking the correct balance.

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but this reminds me of how surprised I always am by the large number of Supernatural fans that are women. I mean, I get that it stars two hot dudes, but beyond that it seems so much like a guy show. Muscle cars, classic rock, horror movie elements, guys shooting and killing stuff every episode, male oriented humor, mostly male characters,and lots of references to guy oriented geeky hobbies, there is so much testosterone in the show that I always find it interesting that it never manages to turn off female viewers. I guess it's a testament to the quality of the show that it draws in all types of fans. Personally, I really like that. It's cool to know than any show that I like doesn't have a purely one sided audience.

And yeah, I also bumped the topic because I am a dude and I love Once Upon a Time

I've gotten a lot of my male friends to watch the show and they all love it too! Just remember this little gem from the beginning of The Princess Bride:

The Grandson: Has it got any sports in it?
Grandpa: Are you kidding? Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles...

OUAT has something for everybody. It's nice to see there are lots of guys who watch it as well, always nice to have another perspective, so welcome all of you

I'm another male fan. It seems the show has something for everyone but I have a lot of male friends who say their wives watch the show but they never have because they assume it's a "romance". I try to remind them that lots of great dramas may include romantic elements but also include a lot more.

I don't know why some guys in this day and age are still against romance in their stories. I like it if it's done well. I think a lot of guys unfortunately just think of really badly done romantic comedies on TV or in movie theaters and assume anything with a love story in it is the same.

What's funny is that so many action movies are based around a guy wanting to save his girl or avenge her, meaning that the core of all those male oriented action movies is a love story. You have to love irony

I'll admit though, I'm a softie. I watched Disney's Paperman today and found it rather touching. It's a short, 7 minute movie about a little magic bringing a guy and girl together and I thought it was really well done and even a little funny. It apparently won an oscar too.

Three if it's an ep with Cas. That Misha Collins is diabolically handsome and witty. Us girls love a hot, angsty guy who's out to save the world, and no show does that quite like Supernatural.
