Cliffhanger Predictions

So how do you think this season will end? What do you think the cliffhanger will be for Season 1 causing us to anticipate season2?

Ok....so my husband (cptcave) and I have been thinking about the end of this season. Originally we thought that Emma would have an accident trying to leave SB with Henry. This accident would cause her to somehow go into FTL before the curse was enacted.

However, after seeing the "Apple Red As Blood" episode, we think that the cliff hanger will be Emma having to save Henry by using her true love for her son and kiss him. Therefore, proving that she believes in the curse. When she kisses, Henry her son, she is somehow transported into FTL precurse time. While there, she finds out she has to fix somethings that happened in order to break the curse. So season 2 will be Emma in FTL, therefore causing us to see the stories as they happened before the curse from Emma's perspective. We may even see her make changes to the stories that cause changes in SB.

Based on some of the characters we have heard about for next season, I think Emma will be traveling through/ interacting with various worlds, maybe even with Jefferson and his hat, to look for a way to break the curse without dying. So for the season finale, I think Emma may wake up Henry (though that also may be part of next season), and I also think that Emma and a few others will start to believe/ remember.

I think a storyline with Emma in fairy tale land wouldn't work. Even though her life began there, her point of view -- along with the tensions and limitations that point of view gives her -- are completely of our world. I enjoy the scenes in fairy tale land, but their role is to support the story taking place in our world. I think I wouldn't enjoy the show nearly as much if the main action took place on the other side of the curse.

With all of the motherhood threads in tonight's episode, and with the finale next week on Mothers' Day, I'm expecting to Cora to return.

Emma in FTL is like time travelling. Time travelling is like bringing people back from the dead because they are not quite dead yet. Those are slippery slopes in TV. Unless the show is about time travel or bringing people back from the dead I do not see it working that well. I can see Emma going to Wonderland with Jefferson or perhaps Oz.

The curse I think will be partially broken. Broken enough so people close to Emma will remember who they are. I think the people she interacts with in SB will remember first while those whom she has not met later.

Here's my cliffhanger prediction. As the show ends and magic is returning we see someone come into town....dum, dum, dum....Emma goes ashen, Gold goes ashen, and Bae appears.

I just have a feeling she's going to run.. I think she may actually believe.. but if what I've read about MM & James remembering is true I think it may be too much for her.. I *really* want to be wrong, because I'm tired of her trying to run from everything.. but, I can't help but to think they may use that as part of a cliffhanger.

I think Emma going to FTL and time traveling in the second season is too early in the show. Maybe 3rd season for that. I think second season will deal with, in FTL, more background on new fairy tale characters and, in SB, Emma trying to find a different way to break the curse and wake everybody up. The cliffhanger will be her waking up Henry, realizing that she believes in the curse, with Regina watching and realizing that the final battle is beginning.
Other things I think will happen: Rumple finds Belle (and I hope she knows who he is); August dies (sad face) At least one other major character (MM or David) will remember who they are.
