Wait - does that mean Kitsis and Horowitz were just pretending *NOT* to have the rights to Peter Pan?

I was all, "That costume totally looks piratey. And I'm sure that's the same hand they showed a second ago. They're totally only showing one hand. That must mean...could it....ZOMGHE'SGOTAHOOK!!!!!!!"

Don't remember how long ago it was they last said that they didn't have the rights to Peter Pan, but I'd figured that after the success of season 1, they would have been negotiating that stuff soon if they hadn't already started. Looks like they got it sorted out! Which I'm happy about, coz it means I can cling to my theory that Bae became Peter Pan for a bit longer.

It would be a real twist if Bae was Hook.What's with the touching of the typewriter and globe and breaking into Mr Gold's shop? Could they be clues as to who Hook really is? They could all link to Bae:

Mr Gold's shop- Rumple/Mr Gold is Bae's father
Typewriter- August had the typewriter and pretended to be Bae
Globe- Bae came to a world without magic and Gold used the globe to plan his trip.

Maybe Dr Whale is Hook or Smee and Bae is Peter Pan?

Maybe Dr Whale is Hook

That thought ran through my head too...then I realised he can't be, coz Dr Whale definitely has both hands.

They do not have the rights to Peter Pan. They had to work a deal out with the people who do. That doesn't mean they keep them forever. It just means now they are allowed to use the story for the show. I am glad they worked it out because they had to do Peter Pan.

That thought ran through my head too...then I realised he can't be, coz Dr Whale definitely has both hands.

Maybe he lost his hand through magical means and when he came to Storybrooke it grew back, similar to how Jiminy was turned into a cricket through magic then in Storybrooke he was human. In the story of Peter Pan, Peter cut off Hook's hand and threw it to the crocodile. I'm no expert on cutting off hands but I can't see it being a quick slice through so Peter must have either had a magic blade or he really put a lot of effort into it.
