Initial Reactions

First off wow! I feel so bad for Mary Margret. It would b humiliating enough to get smacked in public but snacked at work (at a school) during pick-up time where all of StoryBrooke sees and hears the rantings is just harsh. To top it off with vandulusym (probably by the mayor) to your vihacle and Granny telling you off, ouch.

Second, David is an idiot and Iike Msry Msrgrets words "You thought," Clearly David is not cap le if thinking on his own, such as the wrong card in the last Episide.

Third, Ragina's reactions to Karhryn throughout. Trying to tell Kathrym Thst she loves David, relationships take work, and then the look of slight panic/fear when Kathryn says she I'd leaving. And now we know Ragina had access to everyone's homes via those skeleton keys.

What did August Wayne Booth do to the book? Kathryn is now missing and it appears that StiryBrooke may be introduced to another new stranger. (Fredrick from Fairytale land).

It's really simple what August did with the book. It's very old, so he did a new binding, though leaving the old cover (so no one would notice it too much).
What I don't know is, if he may have made a copy for himself, but I don't believe that. I think he's somehow the caretaker of the book, making sure it doesn't fade.

Oh, and I don't remember who said it (it may have been in the last podcast or some forum), but someone mentioned the name August was strange? It is a Latin name meaning the dignified.

I liked the episode (beside the MM/David part of course), even though it seemed a tiny bit boring after the great ep last week.

I really liked how Abigail bumps into Frederick in the "real world" and just brushes it off and then it's him finding her car …
My personal fave was the last scene with Emma and MM. How she just lay down to keep her company. It was just cute.

Only thing that was sad, was that Mr. Gold didn't appear at all. Is he still in prison? Probably not.

This episode was a lot less boring for me then the last one. I mean i liked the Gold parts and i really liked the Gold and Regina parts, but the fairytale parts were a bit boring. Belle had some good dialogue especially when she was leaving and i like the queen and Belle. Regina was very good in the last episode.

I just liked everything in this episode. The scenes in the real world and the fairytale world were both really good. And it was all important to the plot and not side information which was also good. It was a much more cohesive episode and i didn't notice any writing problems well besides the whole bring Charming back and the hey let's shoot at him at the beginning.

[Midnight Dreary]

Hmm...I'm not sure how to feel about this episode. Last week, the show dropped so many bombshells on our heads. Mr. Gold being aware of his past life, Belle being alive, Rumpel was in love...IT WAS EPIC!!! But this week, the show didn't even agknowledge that those things happened. First of all, there was no Mr. Gold (AN OUTRAGE!!!) and Regina didn't mention their jail cell conversation. So, this episode, as far as mythology and actual plot develoment goes, was a bit of a disappointment.

Having said that, this episode was very good at creating some very good character development. I'm glad Mary M. is finally standing up for herself. She needs to find the strength that Snow White had back in Fairytale land. And David...*Facepalm*...what are you doing dude?

And as far as the stranger, here are my theories:
1. He's a Grimm Brother
2. Regina's son
3. Emma's Prince
4. Big Bad Wolf
5. Pinocchio

I know, these theories have already been presented, but hey.

I was actually surprised Mary Margaret was still talking to David after his Valentine's Day card blunder.

I did not like David at all this episode, Charming is much better than him. He at least told Abigail the truth that he didn't want to marry her and she was honest with him, that she didn't want the same thing either.

I don't think that we are supposed to like David not until he becomes more Charming like.

Just want to say that I for one absolutely loved the transformation Kathryn took during the Storybrooke part of the tale. She went from someone I highly suspected as being in cahoots with the queen and kind of a manipulated, zombie-like character to a woman that was enlightened, perhaps not to the fullest extent of realizing what is happening, but to the extent of understanding love when she saw it (in the picture of James and Mary Margaret) and knowing she wanted that kind of happiness for herself and then even went a step further in wishing it for David and MM. It was kind of like her character woke up and came to life in this episode. Did you see Regina's face as Kathryn talked and then hugged her telling her what a great friend she was? All I saw was Regina thinking "my plan is falling apart here, how can I salvage this?" Her lips were pursed despite the smile. Anyway, all that to say that Kathryn definitely won me over a little and Abigail won me over a lot (although a bit stiff in the FTL).

I admit I am a bit bewildered as to what may have happened to Kathryn when trying to leave Storybrooke and wonder how much Regina has to do with it, but I kind of hope she left the car on her own and is wandering in the woods where perhaps she will fall in a hole and find something that jogs her memory of FTL. She'll probably wind up at the cabin. LOL. It's funny to me that there is a cabin in SB and FTL and that there was a cabin in LOST ... those writers
