New Behind the Scenes Photos- MAJOR SPOILERS!!!

Here are a few behind the scenes photos of Mr. Gold and August. And I have to say, they're acting pretty familiar with one another.

These photos were originally posted in the episode 1x19 spoilers forum, but hjbau kindly pointed out to me that these photos are from episode 1x20 "The Stranger." So my question is, what happened in "The Return" that has Mr. Gold and August looking so chummy all of a sudden? In the promo for the episode, Mr. Gold thinks that August is there to kill him, and then we see August raise the dagger to Mr. Gold. So, how does an attempted murder turn into friendly chit chat outside of Mr. Gold's shop? My answer? He's sooooooooooooo Mr. Gold's son!

Hmmm, I wouldn't say they look "chummy" to me. August looks like he's standing there pretty casually, but Mr Gold looks a bit tense. If August has possession of the dagger, that effectively makes him Mr Gold's boss. That'd explain August's casual stance (he's got nothing to fear from this man who intimidates everyone else in town), and Mr Gold's lack of smiling, (he doesn't like someone having power over him), in these pics.

If these are behind-the-scene photos, then perhaps the actors are just chatting about their lines to shoot in the next scene.

Could also be multiple cameras. A few scenes with the camera from this perspective (that we see in the photos.) Another camera would be inside the house, to get close ups of their faces as they lean in close to each other. In fact, that kinda looks like what is going on here.

I think that Geppetto just left Gold's shop. If you look at all the photos. There is one of Geppetto leaving the shop and August is behind him.

Based on pictures just released from ABC, August is most likely the 7-year old who found Emma and POSSIBLY Pinocchio as well. Can't wait to find out!!!!!!!

It sort of annoys me that they are going to spend so much of the next two episodes playing who is the stranger. I always liked the idea that August was the seven year old boy. I am still hoping he isn't Pinocchio though.

iShirli....I just saw these as well. Seriously fascinating...Maybe he is Pinocchio or trying to convince her the truth about where she came from either way I cant wait!

I think it's interesting how both Emma and August both have a very similar persona: both wear a lot of leather and jeans, both have moved around a lot, both sort of keep others at arms' length, and both are able to come to SB from the outside world. I think that both have escaped from FTL and that they share a deep history. From the picture above, I think August is clearly the 7-year-old boy who found Emma by the side of the road.

"Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, with the Evil Queen's curse about to strike, Geppetto agrees to a plan that will save Snow White and Prince Charming's daughter, but with a proviso that could also save his own son." Also, I think from the description for this episode, August may be the boy that Geppetto tries to save at the same time he makes a way for baby Emma to escape. This method may be different from the wardrobe, which can only hold one, and so skirt that obstacle entirely.

I just had a thought, well two actually. Mr. Gold makes a deal with August - something about you help me make Emma believe and I won't expose your true identity. my second thought, in the first pic above, Mr. Gold adds a "dearie' or "please" to August and he agrees.
