I seriously doubt Henry will be permanently killed off. Not because the show isn't dark enough to go there (this is the same show that has shown numerous hearts being ripped out), but because it's all just a set-up. Henry will need to do something extreme in order to get Emma to finally believe, and death (temporary death) would be the one thing that Emma would respond to. However, I think Henry will be quickly revived with a kiss from Emma.

I keep wondering why Emma would take food from Regina? Like does Regina show up with a cake? Why would you take it? Remember "since when are apple's a threat". Apples are always a threat with the Evil Queen.

Perhaps Regina uses someone else to give Emma poisoned food. A lot of people still fear Regina. She could use extortion, threats, or bribes to get what she wants. Remember how Henry said evil doesn't have to play fair.

Maybe. But it seems like Henry eats it on purpose like he knows that it is from the queen.

Perhaps Henry purposefully intercepts the poisoned food item from the person being bribed or blackmailed by Regina. I agree that Henry has to knowingly eat the poisoned food for it to count as him believing in Emma.

Henry just can't die, he can't. So I am taking the "soap opera" out and say he is going to end up in the hospital.

Maybe he'll end up unconscious in hospital and Emma will go to read the book to him. The kid believes that MM reading David the book is what brought him back, maybe Emma would be desperate enough to give it a go and see if it works again. And then Henry will grab her hand and she'll believe.

I agree with this. I bet he's just frustrated and hoped it wouldn't have come to that, but does takes a bite knowing that'll get through to Emma. Henry is [one of] the only reason Emma is in SB so if he were to pull something like that, knowing the consequences, well i'd say Emma might start believing

No it is while he's falling you can see he's taken a bite from it. I don't know if he did it on purpose I think so but I can see it working more that way than if it's an accident

I dunno that he'd eat it knowing it was poisoned just to prove a point, (killing off a kid is one thing, but effectively having him commit suicide?). I think it'd be more like someone gives it to Emma, (not Regina obviously, but maybe Dr Whale or something, is he credited for this ep?), but she's not in the mood for eating treats, (she's looking pretty down in that scene), so Henry's all, "Ooo, apple turnover!" and Emma's all, "You can have it," so he takes a bite.
