I would like to make a suggestion as to the identity of the new guy in town. If you look at the age of his typewriter and try to imagine a writer using the vintage machine there was only one person that came to mind…Hans Christian Anderson. He wrote children’s stories and we have now learned that ALL children’s stories will be visited in Once.
Would love to hear your thoughts.

I THINK it is Pinocchio ….he was about 7 years old and Gippito made the cabinet. Supposedly it could only transport one person… I was thinking it was a weight issue …. only so much weight / volume could be transferred. TWO kids still were smaller than one adult. Gippito sent Pinocchio through to save him. SNOW would have been smaller in weight and volume then a man so she would have been saved. But since EMMA was born they sent her through not realizing mom and baby could have gone through together but thinking one being instead of weight and volume.

That would explain why a 7 year old boy was at the side of the road and found a baby. Pinocchio and Emma both landed in the same spot, they both went into the foster system. Pinocchio grows up and seeks out Emma.

    Pinocchio is the STRANGER ….

of course this is all based on logic and this show is not logical…..

I don’t think it is possible that he is Pinocchio because then the newspaper would have said baby and seven year old found on side of road and that is not what the newspaper said.

I added Hans Christian Anderson to our poll about the stranger.

Another thought…is he there to rewrite the stories? The book is gone and happy endings are being restored.

I would think taking the book is a negative, It is taking away Henry’s source of information.
