This question has been plaguing me ever since we got a good look at Mr. Gold’s shop, where there are several objects that came from FTL. The only way I can figure that those objects got to Storybrooke was by Rumple bringing them along–I can’t imagine anyone else fetching them for him. And yet, wasn’t Rumple still in prison at the time the curse took effect? If he was in prison, how did those objects from the Dark Castle come to Storybrooke?

And if it’s true that, as he says, in both FTL and Storybrooke he’s more powerful than the Queen, is it that the curse didn’t affect him, but he just came along to Storybrooke for the ride (after all, no self-respecting dealer would stay in a ghost town!)? The fact that he remembers his FTL identity would seem to suggest he was above the curse.

Or does Mr. Gold still have his magic, and by magic recovered his precious objects from FTL?

I’d love to hear your thoughts.
