I didn’t see a topic like this, so hopefully it’s okay that I’m posting this. No particular spoilers I don’t think. Just general theory on where S1 is going and how it could lead to S2.
So, as the title suggest: where do you think the season one finale is headed?
A thought that struck me last night while watching “Heart of Darkness” was that the Snow/James and Regina stories almost seem like they are coming to a close. I feel like the arcs for those three characters are concluding and reaching what we saw in the pilot episode. Does that make any sense?
So for me, I kind of feel like S1 is headed in the direction of concluding Snow, James, and Regina (though all three could still appear in S2), and that S2 could be introducing a new evil witch (Maleficent maybe?) and even a new fairytale couple (Aurora/Philip anyone?). So my point is that I just don’t quite see a show that could possible last for 5 seasons, drag out Snow, James, and Regina that long. I feel like their stories are ending, making way for a new season of characters.
Any thoughts? Think I’m crazy? 😆

And i think that Charming is going to take control of his father’s castle. I think that David is going to get his memory back.
I think there is a lot of story left with Snow, Charming, and the Queen. I think they will continue to be main characters throughout the show. Snow and Charming as the parents of Emma, the savior, and the Evil Queen as their antagonist.

There will be new characters introduced in season 2, but like hjbau said, there’s plenty of story to tell with Snow/Charming/Emma/Henry/Regina. That won’t be concluded by the end of this season.
March 19, 2012 at 7:11 pm #139214Daniel J. LewisKeymasterThanks for starting this great conversation! I don’t think Regina is single-season character.
I think one more character will fully remember FTL, and it looks like that could be David.
But I don’t think Emma will believe this season.
Great ideas!
March 19, 2012 at 7:14 pm #139217hjbauParticipantI do think that Emma will really be on the verge of believing this season. Like she will see something that will make her think she has to seriously look into this even if it isn’t full on belief.
March 19, 2012 at 7:25 pm #139221killianhookfanParticipantI have this sick feeling David and Regina are going to end up together at the end of the season. But I’m also starting to wonder if maybe MM might start to wonder if maybe Henry is right about the book being real. There was something about the way she said “Why would she do that to me?” when Emma told MM that she believed she was innocent and believes that Regina is setting her up. Because obviously she hasn’t done anything bad enough in Storybrooke for the Mayor to try to set her up for murdering someone so maybe she is starting to wonder “But if I was really Snow White and she was really the EQ then she would have a reason to want to set me up.” And Graham did, after all, go to her and ask her when they met. So maybe she is starting to think about when she first came to Storybrooke or how she first got the book in the first place and is realizing that she can’t remember those kinds of things.
March 19, 2012 at 9:39 pm #139237hjbauParticipantWhat do you mean David and Regina end up together? Like romantically? I doubt it and i really hope not.
Maybe Mary or Emma will wonder about Regina’s motivation and think about why she would be setting Mary up. That is a good idea. Get Emma to believe. I would actually rather Snow get her memories back this season then Charming, but there has been a lot of references to Charming and he had a flashback in the last episode so they are leaning more towards it being him.
March 19, 2012 at 9:47 pm #139240killianhookfanParticipantYep, I mean romantically. As disgusting a thought as it is, I just have this feeling that it’s coming – all of a sudden Regina is being nicey nice to David – his wife just died and he thinks his ex-mistress killed her. I see Regina being the one to console him while she’s trying to set MM up. And David, of course, is too stupid (as usual) to see what is going on.
March 19, 2012 at 9:59 pm #139246hjbauParticipantI hope that the only way Regina hooks up with David is if she punches her hand into his chest and takes his heart and makes him. Even though i hope he is just like no way kill me.
Also about the end of the season, there is always the possibility that Regina may be able to reset the curse and everyone’s memories or that Emma will leave town, if she can, and that will reset everyone’s memories. I so hope not though. I don’t want everyone to forget Emma after all this.

I like that because it would bring everything full circle.
