Feel free to suggest other movies to add to the list.
Also please note, many of these movies are cheesy & aren’t to be taken seriously. They’re just a good waste of time, although some of them are very well written or ascetically pleasing to the eye.

I also purposefully didn’t include too many Disney films on the list, as it seems rather obvious that they should be viewed during the long summer hiatus until season 2.

I would add the Star Wars movies, especially because the creators of OUaT have said they like them and called them a modern fairy tale (or some similar wording). They were apparently involved with Tron, which I haven’t seen and don’t know very much about. I don’t know if it is similar in feel at all to OUaT, since they were involved with both.

Alright, I added Star Wars although I’m loathe to add the prequels because they’re not as good as the original three. Of course though, the viewing is up to each individual. Personally I think the best Star Wars movie is Return of the Jedi, just saying.

They were involved with Tron: Legacy which I went ahead & added to the list.
If anything, the movie may not be amazing but it does have some quotable lines.
It’s been awhile since I saw the movie but I do remember Flynn being very upset about Sam harshing on his mellow or something along those lines. Plus he likes to say ‘dude’ a lot which … weird.

Either way, you’ve had my opinion.
    I’m done.

Came to the thread to suggest Alice and Tin Man, saw they were already here. Good call 🙂
Alice was my mini-hiatus watch. Can’t think of anything new to add at the moment, but I shall wrack my brains.

Empire Strikes Back is the best Star Wars movie, in my opinion.

I got Tin Man for my birthday.

I would add ‘Willow’ and ‘Tangled’. and I saw the other night, Much Ado about Nothing is streaming on Netflix.

    That’s awesome!

I’ll add Willow; I’ve seen that a time or two but I can never really get behind it, it’s just sort of ‘eh’ for me but I’m sure other people might really like it. As far as Tangled, I purposefully left most of the Disney Princess movies off this list because as far as I’m concerned, they’re already ‘must-see’ viewing. But I’ll add ‘Tangled’ just for you.

    Brilliant!

( I’ll probably use the hiatus to re-watch all my period drama shows/movies but that’s not relevant to these forums, so I’m keeping that list to myself. )

Mirror Mirror is a remake of Snow White that just came out in theatres. Now that the shows almost over we will need a lot of movies to hold us over until it comes back! Also, I heart Korra cruel fortuna. 😀

It came out back at the tail-end of March didn’t it? I’m not sure how long it’s run will last in theaters what with the Summer Blockbuster season edging ever closer but I’ll add it to the list none the less. By that same turn, I’ll also add Snow White & the Huntsmen; which is set to release on June 1st.

I do too. Only three episodes in & it’s just so amazing. I highly suggest Legend of Korra as well as it’s predecessor series, Avatar: The Last Airbender as a hiatus watch to anyone who is looking for well developed stories. The original series originally aired on Nickelodeon and had a pretty devoted following. Although, if anyone is considering watching it. I feel like you should probably research Asian culture a bit before you go in because the premise of both shows draws heavily upon Buddhist ideas; reincarnation in particular.

But I’m getting off topic. Thanks for the suggestions Lissy.
If you want to talk to me about Korra, there should be a thread in this forum about it that Mia made about a week or so ago. Just post there & I’ll be sure to get back to you ASAP or you can pretty much always reach me on Twitter.
