I’m pretty sure the KorraNation fan page on Facebook still has the first 2 eps. up. Although, I’m not sure if any of the content it available outside the U.S market, my suggestion would be to check Tumblr.
It picks up 70 yrs. post AtLA & it has some of the same ambiance but it’s a decidedly different story.
However, it’s really very well paced & full of laughs, so I’d say as of right now, it’s on the right track.
It’s great but not near the level of amazing as the first series … yet.I tried KorraNation, but yeah, only US centered. Found some other place though and just saw the eps. I love those three little airbenders, lol. The one thing I don’t get, though: isn’t fire the opposite element of water? Why is Korra having so much trouble with airbending? Is it because her character is much more earthbenderlike?

The opposite aspect has more to do with a person’s chi that the physical aspect of the opposing element. So Korra has trouble with air-bending because she is so bull-headed & undisciplined. Water is always moving & that’s the way Korra prefers it & it melds well with her own personality. Korra is always want to be moving & air-bending takes patience which – as she’s demonstrated, she has trouble with.
I have my thoughts on her other bending styles but that’s going into theorizing territory & I really don’t know how much you know about the anti-bending movement & Amon yet. So I won’t discuss it in depth or rather, at all.
But I’m glad you like Jinora, Ikki & Meelo ( the 3 air-bender kids ) – as of right now my fav. character is Korra followed closely by Bolin & Mako.

Only thing I know of the anti-bending movement, is that that they dislike benders, lol. But I can guess there’s something more behind it. There always is. 😉
It’s weird. I always liked animation, but then moved from western to anime. Western always seemed so silly. I really dislike the Sponge Bob and Cartoon Network things nowadays. But then I found Avatar and it was the first animation that actually seemed to have some in-depth story and moral. I really liked that about it. Plus, Iroh’s humour is the best, lol.
Now that I think about it, this is probably the only other series I could talk about like I talk about Once. xD There’s just so much more behind it, than a kid’s story.

So my friend and I were talking, and we think Amon is an evil spirit that has escaped from the spirit world. Right now it’s the only explanation we could think of for his powers and the fact he has no face. We were not buying his farm story. I miss iroh too! I imagine him drinking tea and playing pai sho everyday until his last.
April 26, 2012 at 5:13 pm #144170miaParticipantI just watched the 3rd episode and Amon’s voice actually reminded me of what’s-his-name Zuko’s father! Then I remembered that he’s probably dead, because Zuko’s also dead already …
Btw, do you think the name Amon has anything to do with Amon-Ra, the Egyptian sun god?April 26, 2012 at 9:11 pm #144198lissyParticipantdo you think the name Amon has anything to do with Amon-Ra, the Egyptian sun god?
Hmm…I never thought of that before. Right now I do not see how that would tie into anything, but this guy has to be some sort of god/spirit. What else could explain his power? On the original show, weren’t Gods were often animals?
When Amon supposably took bending away, it looked nothing like how Anng did it. Do you think it’s only temperary? Only the avater is suppose to have this ability anyways.
April 28, 2012 at 8:29 am #144405miaParticipantWell, he did touch the people’s head just like Aang did with Ozai (yay, I remembered the name!!). I don’t really think he’s a spirit or god, he only says he’s got their support so that people are afraid of him. But who knows, it’s a cartoon after all, lol.
