    My personal Theory. August Wayne Booth is Ponocchio.

    A.W.B = (A Wooden Boy.)

    The wooden dog is something he made, learned toy making from father.

    Mr Gold created the curse to pass over to this world to find his son.

    Bae and August are working together. That is how he knew the story.

    Emma Swan is The Swan Princess.

    Mr. Gold will die and Emma will kill him with the knife, thus becoming the new Dark One. This will be the favor Mr. Gold asks for in return from her.

    What do you all think.

    That would be such a strange twist to have Emma become the Dark One, that being said, I don’t believe Mr. Gold would ask for this as his favor.

    A thought though, Emma is supposedly the only one with actual magic in Storybrooke, correct?

    I don’t know but it seems like Mr. Gold has had a plan since Bae came to our world. I think he may feel that he must rid himself of the curse before the EQ’s curse is broken.

    I don’t think she has real Magic, there is no Magic in our world.

    I don’t think that the knife would work right now to transfer the powers. It doesn’t seem like Rumpel has his dark one powers.

    Very possible, Yet I am looking for a twist at season end. The death of Mr Gold would be a major Twist. What strikes me odd is the way he seems so fragile and yet when he needs to he has great amount of strength. Maybe he doesn’t have magic but he does have the strength of Rumple/The dark one. Oh, and who says the Dark One is evil? I wonder if they are pulling the fast one on us, the Dark One may just mean, one who has the power. I don’t know, who can say? I guess we will see. 😀

    Just another point, maybe the reason for August needing to move fast is because by Emma coming to Storybrook his illness is advancing just like the clock. Something that wouldn’t have happened until her return.

    I had the same thought…The previews for next week show him practically begging Emma to help him. I bet we get to see his wooden leg…if that doesn't convince her then who knows what will…I'm thinking that would do it for me!

    Well i think Rumpel is evil. He certainly doesn’t seem to do good at all.

    That is the thing that bothers me, he doesn’t do anything that seems good, (He doesn’t do anything that seems good.) We as viewers place our moral code on him, but he only wanted to protect his son when he turned the guy into a snail, and he only wanted love until he realized it was a trick by Regina. Maybe Rumples actions from the point that Bae was transported where over the top but after that all he wanted was his son back and every action after was to create that goal? Is he dark because of the power or is he dark because of the hole in his sole? I feel their is a moral lesson to be learned. Power comes at a price but we can effect the outcome of that price by our own actions. Maybe Rumple got drunk with power and maybe he realized that and has spent all this time trying to undo his drunkeness. 😀
