What do you think happened to Baelfire when he got to the new dimension ???
( EDIT: 0700 est– Assume he landed in our world, near to our time.)What do you think his life was like?
.I think of an uneducated 14 year old boy from a peasant family ( Rumple had not been dark lord having money or power for very long.) He probably did not know how to read or write when he landed…. Where did he fit in to society? How did he support himself to survive.
My theory he joined an Amish community and worked as farm labor till he learned to read or write. ( The Grimms were German) Maybe once he knew how to read and write he went on RUMSPRINGA and explored the rest of the world… doing odd jobs till he could raise money and establish himself in someway.

[adrotate group="5"]It’s really hard to say. We have no idea what point in time or even where he landed in our world. He could be anywhere from medieval Europe to Japan in a futuristic space age. Regardless of where or when he landed, he definitely would’ve had trouble adjusting. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had run-ins with the police every now and then. Like you said-he had no parents, no education, and no idea of where he was in our world.
Dorothy, I agree. In fact, we don’t even know if he came to our world. Rememer, in Hat Trick, Jefferson said to Emma that there are several worlds, and some have magic and some don’t. There could be another land without magic. This will be one of the big questions to be answered in Season 2.
Hopefully Baelfire ended up somewhere with magic but also with relative time. Wonderland, Oz, Neverland, or the Kingdom of Wisdom would be my picks – although The Phantom Tollbooth won’t be in public domain for years, I’m still dying to see it used.

All we know is that Rumple thinks he came to our world, but no, we don’t have confirmation of that fact, so I’m not convinced that’s where he ended up.
I think that if Rumple had gone through with him, chances are they’d have landed here, or at least in a world without magic, because that was the purpose of them going through the vortex, to be somewhere that Rumple’s power would be null and void.
But when Bae went through alone, who’s to say that the vortex didn’t send him somewhere else entirely, like Neverland, because now that he’d lost his father, he’d become a Lost Boy.
My theory is that Bae spent time in Neverland at one point. Even if he came to our world first, maybe he followed someone to Neverland. Remember Peter Pan visited regularly to listen to stories and didn’t he take lost boys with him back to Neverland like he did Wendy and the boys? If he did live in Neverland for a long time, maybe he gained an education just through life experiences.
However, I think he left Neverland at one point and decided to stay in our world and ended up being Henry’s father. 😆
