    After watching “Apple Red As Blood” I’m beginning to think that Regina relies on Gold way too much. Once she saw that her apple tree was dying, the first person she went to for answers was Gold. In the past couple of episodes every time she has had a serious problem, she’s always gone to Gold for help and advice. I think her over-reliance on him is going to bite her in the backside. Any thoughts?

    I feel the same way. Regina may be vengeful and cruel, but she still seems inexperienced when compared to Rumpel/Gold. She’s like that young woman still holding a grudge (which she is) who decided to do this and she now wants someone to help her see it through to the end instead of taking care of it herself.

    Unfortunately for Regina, there aren’t many folks around, (in Storybrooke or FTL) who are in her league. If there’s a problem that’s beyond her means, her only superior is Rumple/Mr Gold, (and also Blue Fairy, but she’s hardly gonna help the likes of Regina). So even though he can play her like a fiddle and screw her over without breaking a sweat, she doesn’t really have any other option than to deal with him. Sucks to be her.

    I think Regina is trying to see what she can get out of Gold for free. She has one last thing he desires that she knows she can make a deal with him for… Belle. She must be saving her for a REALLY big favor.

    I don’t think she intended to rely on Gold. Afterall she was shocked he remembered his FT life which she did not expect and she also asked for his real name. She thought she can use him and she of course thought wrong. She also never to be outplayed in the Kathryn frame Mary Margaret fiasco.
