As the members of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences get ready to select which tv series, cast members and crew members will be this year’s nominees for Emmys, they will be watching episodes that the contenders and the networks submitted to showcase their talent. Robert Carlyle and Lana Parilla have already indicated which episodes they thought would most likely be submitted on their behalves (“Skin Deep” for Robert, “Stable Boy” for Lana).
But how about everyone else? Which episode would you select for each of the other Once contenders?
up for Best Actress in a Drama:
Ginnifer Goodwin
Jennifer Morrisonup for Best Actor in a Drama:
Josh Dallasup for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama:
Eion Bailey
Jared GilmoreAnd the toughest of them all, which episodes would you submit to support a nomination of Once as Best Drama? The Emmy rules call for 6 episodes to be submitted.

Ginnifer Goodwin probably Heart of Darkness. That cell scene with David is one of the best of the season. They could also use Snow Falling.
Eion Bailey The Stranger of course.
Jared Gilmore, that’s a tough one. As much as I like the kid, the one child actor that should be nominated should be Bailee Madison …
Josh Dallas is also difficult to pin point. The Shepherd or maybe even A Land Without Magic.
As for the six episode for best drama:
The Pilot or The Thing You Love Most
The Heart is a Lonely Hunter
Red-Handed
Skin Deep
A Land Without MagicCan’t find a 6th right now.

Well, for best show:
A Land Without Magic
Skin Deep
The Return
The Heart is a Lonely Hunter
Snow Falls
Pilot
Honorable mention red handedGinnifer Goodwin:
Heart of darkness
Second choice 7:15 amJosh Dallas:
Heart of darknessJared s Gilmore
I actually think as child actors go he’s pretty dang good
Hard to pick an episode for him because his role in many of them is similar.
I guess Id say:
An Apple red as blood
Second choice pilotJennifer Morrison:
The strangerEion Bailey:
The strangerAlthough I prefer Skin Deep as an episode, I think I would have picked the return for Robert Carlyle. But skin deep is an amazing choice too! Good choice for Lana, although it doesn’t show the distinctions she makes between her two evil character to keep them the same but different, which I think is one of the strongest parts of her performance. I would have picked the thing you love most.
This is a really good idea for a thread!

The best episodes, in my opinion, have been…
1). The Pilot
2). Whatever Happened to Frederick
3). Skin Deep
4). The Thing You Love Most
5). The Heart is a Lonely Hunter
6). The Return
7). The Stranger
8). Hat Trick
9). Red-Handed
10). A Land Without Magic
11). Heart of Darkness
I know this is more than six, but it was hard for me to pick. 😀Ginnifer Goodwin
It would have to be Heart of Darkness, or Whatever happened to Frederick. That was where she really shined. She did well in the others, of course.Josh Dallas
Either Heart of Darkness, Whatever Happened to Frederick, or A Land Without Magic. His best episodes.Jared Gilmore
It’s really hard for me to pick…he is in almost every single episode.Jennifer Morrison
The Stranger, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, or A Land Without Magic. I particularly favour the last episode. Her scene when she sees Henry, seemingly dead, always makes my eyes sting a bit.Eion Baily
The Stranger and A Land Without Magic. I know he only had two minutes in the last episode, but I honestly can’t help it. I love him in that scene with him and Emma.Robert Carlyle
Skin Deep or The Return. Both show him the best, I think.Lana Parrilla
The Thing You Love Most or A Land Without Magic. The last one would have to be the best for her, though, in my opinion.June 6, 2012 at 12:16 am #148391clockwatcherParticipantI’m all for Jared Gilmore! I would say: (I think) “Apple Red As Blood” when he stands up to Regina and says that good will win, SW will have her happy ending, and the curse will be broken. Or the pilot episode.
