ParticipantI will probably be alone in this, butI don't want them to bring Graham back in Storybrooke: it would cheapen his death and the impact it had on Emma if he returned as Graham. There has to be limitations in storytelling: making 'true love' a cure-all and bringing back the dead should be avoided IMO.

ParticipantI don’t think Graham will come back. Even Rumpelstiltskin ‘magic can do many things [but not bring people back from the dead.]”. If we see him again, it’ll be like in the finale. in a flashback to fairytale land.

ParticipantI think most people don’t want Graham back. And i think it is unlikely they are going to do this. At this point the actors don’t know anything so they are just making their best guesses.

ParticipantThe hot Irishman has a lot of fans though, who might not care how his return effects the plot. I kind of thought there would be an onslaught of them when I posted something against Graham, luckily so far just people who get it.

ParticipantThere are fans, but i think there has become an acceptance that he is gone. And i do want him to be gone for good, because dead needs to be dead. And they will probably pull in a new love interest for Emma anyways.

Participant….I never said you didn’t want him gone for good.

ParticipantI want him to stay dead, too. I don’t get the argument that he is Emma’s true love. That wasn’t True Love’s Kiss they had. It was just Graham already waking up from the curse and Emma’s magic speeding it along.
Keeper of Rumplestiltskin's and Neal's spears and war paint and crystal ball.

I’m with you that Graham isn’t Emma’s true love. The kisses did nothing for her and now we know that if he had been, everyone would have gotten their memories back. I guess the Graham part depends on the rules surrounding true love that we don’t know yet. I prefer what you said, that Emma’s magic recovered his memory, but if true love doesn’t necessarily mean returned love, maybe it was true love for Graham. *Shrugs*
Anyone have any thoughts on the two new girls? Magnolia sounds like a mesh of Mulan and Pocahontas to me. Kind of hoping she’s from the realm behind the dragon door!June 25, 2012 at 3:57 am #149064elle
ParticipantAs much as I loved (and still love) Graham as a character and seeing his back story, it is best to let him stay dead. Twice it is has been told that the dead cannot come back to life–once Rumpelstitlskin, and then Maleficent. Both stated that no spell can bring the dead back, so it seems unlikely that magic coming to Storybrooke would change anything, no matter how poweful. Plus, his death did have an effect on Emma–it did help her to rise up for the position that he once had. And it may continue to do so if or when she finds out that Regina was the one to kill him.
His role as the Huntsman is still important–I’m curious to see what role he continued to play in his service to the Queen. Season 2 will show Snow and Charming trying to take back the kingdom–will he be able to help, or hurt the two of them under orders?
