Episode 2.03 – Lady of the Lake
Emma and Mary Margaret try to find a portal that would bring them back to Storybrooke; Henry tries to talk Jefferson into reuniting with his daughter; on the eve of meeting Prince Charming’s mother, King George poisons Snow White.Cast: Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla, Josh Dallas, Emilie de Ravin, Jared S. Gilmore, Meghan Ory, Robert Carlyle
Guests: Barbara Hershey, Alan Dale, Sarah Bolger, Jamie Chung, Sebastian Stan, Gabrielle Rose, Sinqua Walls, Alissa Skovbye
http://tvlistings.zap2it.com/tv/once-upon-a-time-lady-of-the-lake/EP014194780026Gabrielle Rose plays Prince Charming’s mother, Ruth. I wonder if King George will hire Lancelot (Sinqua Walls) to kill Charming’s mother, like he threatened he’d do if Charming didn’t marry Princess Abigail. So sad! Also, I wonder how Snow White will survive the poisoning. My other theory is that King George and Cora were once married (i.e. he’s the greedy king from the Rumpel fairy-tale).
Finally, I wonder if Snow White and Emma are using Jefferson’s hat as a portal, or perhaps a similar magic hat. Who’s to say there is just one magic hat? Emma could possibly make a new one, based on episode 1×17. We know we’re going to see Sebastian Stan in this episode, so I’m hoping he is able to travel to and from different worlds with his hat, now that magic has come to SB. Alissa Skovbye plays Grace, so perhaps Sebastian Stan’s role will be limited to SB and Jefferson’s reunion with his daughter.

Also, although I already knew it, it makes me sad that Emma and Snow are still missing and trying to find their way home.
Finally, I looked back at episode 2’s description when I noticed that MR-J’s name wasn’t on the list for episode 3, and he’s not on the list for episode 2 either. I wonder if the list is just incomplete because I don’t see Julian Morris’s name on either list either unless Emma’s and Snow’s journey is suppose to parallel Mulan’s and Aurora’s journey, which is why there is no Prince Phillip.

Does Henry know that it was Jefferson who helped Regina acquire the poisoned apple? For all he knows, Regina was acting alone. He doesn’t really understand how magic works in our world or how much magic she had left. He knows Regina was responsible for the death of Graham, so he knows Regina had power in SB, but didn’t know the limits of that power. Also, I doubt Emma mentioned to Henry that she was kidnapped by Jefferson, because Henry’s just a kid, and it would’ve only fueled Henry’s belief in the curse, which Emma doubted at the time. I think the only thing Henry knows is that Jefferson and Grace were separated, based on reading about them in his storybook. He’s just a kid who is friends with Grace, so it’d be natural for him to want the best outcome for this little girl and her dad.

Yes, it makes me sad on one level, too. I don’t want Emma to miss out on her new role as a mother with Henry or from bonding with her dad, PC. At the same time, I am looking forward to seeing how Emma deals with being in another magical world. Perhaps she and MM do time travel, which would be very interesting to see, if not complicated though. Remember that movie Back to the Future? If one thing were to change in the past, it could mean the future was drastically changed forever, including the very existence of the hero of the story. It’d be tricky to work in time travel, though not impossible.
Finally, I looked back at episode 2’s description when I noticed that MR-J’s name wasn’t on the list for episode 3, and he’s not on the list for episode 2 either.
Maybe MRJ is just in the premiere but then doesn’t appear again until a later episode (like Emma’s episode, 2×6). I’m still wondering if MRJ is responsible for the disappearance of Emma and MM. If he is Jack, he could have LOTS of magic beans to take them to different worlds.

Snow knew she was in a glass coffin and Henry heard Emma say she loved him because he said i love you too. So when Jefferson talks in the hospital about collecting on the deal and Regina says that Emma was supposed to eat the apple so their deal is off, that Henry heard that. Though it is possible that something happens to fix that relationship a bit in Ep 2, so that Jefferson having a conversation with Henry won’t seem so bizarre.
Oh if they are going to do time travel then they cannot change the past, they can only actualize the future. If they go into the past, then they always went into the past and what they do there always happened. That is the only way they should do time travel. Or realm jumping, time travel.

Yes, that’s what I thought too because Snow was still aware of what was going on, and Henry did hear Emma say I love you. So I figured he would have remembered Jefferson and Regina talking over him too. I guess it’s possible though that Jefferson helps Charming and Henry in episode 2 when they’re all looking for Emma and Snow, or it’s another plot hole.

Well, hopefully if he is responsible, he didn’t do it maliciously, if he turns out to be Bae.

I just mentioned that in the ep 2 description thread. Interesting that he’s not there but the girls are. Makes me a bit concerned for his safety. 😕

True, though if you look at the dialogue, it’s not explicitly stated what Jefferson did for his part in the deal:
Jefferson: Pity, isn’t it? There’s nothing harder than not knowing whether you’ll ever see your child again.
Regina: Jefferson, now is not a good time.
Jefferson: For you. Well, for me, it’s the perfect time. I’m here to collect. Where… Where is she… My daughter?
Regina: Emma was supposed to eat that apple, and she didn’t. As far as I’m concerned, that makes our deal null and void.
Jefferson: I did what you asked, and you’re going to screw me over again?
Regina: Look at it however you want, Jefferson. The fact is, I’m done with you.
Jefferson: But I’m… I’m not done with you.
Regina: What are you going to do? Kill me? I know you want to, but I also know you can’t.
Jefferson: Do you?
Regina: Yes. You don’t have it in you. Now, if you excuse me, I have to save my son.We know that Jefferson helped her get the apple, so seeing them say that, we know what they’re talking about. Henry doesn’t know that though, so he can’t automatically fill in the gaps. And the tone of the conversation is that Jefferson is anti-Regina, in fact, by the end of the conversation, he’s officially out to get her, which means he and Henry have the same objective in this battle that’s about to go down.
September 16, 2012 at 1:44 pm #153975hjbauParticipantI think the conversation certainly gives them leeway to say that Regina turned on him, but i do think that Regina mentions a deal about Emma eating the apple and Jefferson mentions collecting on it.

So Emma and Snow DO go back to FTL past! 😮 And Lancelot is on the side of good….unless he’s trying to double cross them or something and only pretending to help. And again, no mention of Phillip. I’m really starting to think he’s not gonna survive very long. 😕
October 12, 2012 at 7:55 pm #156469SlurpeezParticipantJennifer Morrison gave an interesting spoiler for 2×3 about Snow and Lancelot.
In addition to making the acquaintance of the original Queen of Mean, Emma this Sunday will be introduced to no less than Lancelot. But as show bosses Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz previously scooped for us, the handsome former member of the Round Table is no stranger to Snow White. “Yeah, she definitely has a ‘friendship’ with him,” Jennifer Morrison told me. “It seems like maybe either he fought battles with Prince Charming or was in some other way was of a part of their kingdom and community, so they definitely have a friendship.”
Hmm, maybe Mary Margaret’s alter ego isn’t so snow white after all? (And no, the “We were cursed” excuse won’t fly this time.) http://tvfilmnews.com/new-once-upon-a-time-2×03-lady-of-the-lake-scoop-from-jennifer-morrison/"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home.
