The way it sounded to me, when Mulan explained what happened after Aurora fell asleep was that a year after Sleeping Beauty’s curse, Regina unleashed her curse which destroyed most of fairytale land but somewhere, there was this tiny bit of land that wasn’t destroyed by the curse and there’s survivors — which means not everyone was brought to our world — but there’s still dark things lurking in fairytale world.
The only reason Mulan and Phillip were able to find Sleeping Beauty was because the curse was broken in our world, and time resumed FT world? Which means what? People in fairytale world forgot they were fairytale characters too and also had made up lives?

Kind of like time was going on but everyone (character wise) in FTL was in a frozen state. I’m not exactly sure how else to explain it other than using the word “frozen” but it would make more sense to me if that is what happened. I don’t think that everyone in FTL was transported (for the lack of a better word) to our world. I think that the curse did not affect parts of FTL, at least the story would make more sense if it didn’t.

The fact that not ‘all’ characters from the enchanted forest didn’t end up in Storybrooke and some survived, living in FT land changes that title card sequence.
Just has a thought, maybe that small piece of land was spared from the curse — in the event the Charmings and the Storybrooke residents ever made it back to fairytale land, they could use magic to help rebuild their home. But you can’t rebuild starting from nothing.

October 7, 2012 at 2:06 am #155777obisgirlParticipantthat’s true.
I just hope they explain why a part of fairytale land was spared from the curse.
October 7, 2012 at 3:46 am #155790JosephineParticipantI think it may have had to do with the Blue Fairy’s “preparations” she talked about in “The Stranger”.
For some reason, when I don’t know what’s going on I always blame the Blue Fairy. 😆
Keeper of Rumplestiltskin's and Neal's spears and war paint and crystal ball.
October 7, 2012 at 5:06 am #155798rcaret7zParticipantYou all can blame it on whoever you want, I’m still blaming Regina’s mom. If it weren’t for her, Snow and Regina would probably be chillin’ at the local tavern! 😆
Oh wait, Regina had a man… 😮 Well, maybe she and her man and Snow and PC at the local tavern perhaps???

that’s possible too.
fyi, I don’t trust the Blue Fairy either.

It’s a fair call to blame her IMO. She’s shifty, that one, and though she’s always on the “right” side, that doesn’t mean she always does “pure good”.
Based on the fact that it seems Cora will be in present day FTL, I think her presence will have something to do with the fact that part of the land was immune to the curse to a certain extent.

I agree with you on this one…. I feel that even though Regina did not want to be around her mother…. she could not bring herself to killing her…. so she banished her mother to another region and did not let her partake in her being QUEEN. When the curse took effect she did not destroy the region her mother was in… she just froze it for the length of the curse.
IF you looked at spoiler clips you see Emma being blocked by Snow as they confront CORA. This is why I think this region had been saved. I also think this was how Regina and her dad knew about the two headed snake…. It looks like Agabar. So they had contact and knew how to get the snake…. Wasn't there a map of FTL that had all kinds of castles and regions map out on it. I guess we are now finding out more about FTL.

I am going to have to come back here and un-spoiler this post ….. some day.
