So after the season 2 premiere there are questions about the fact that Mulan and Aurora are both in love with Philip.

I have to believe Aurora’s true love is Philip and he hers since his kiss awakened her, but he did seem a little uncertain saying to Mulan before he kissed Aurora, if this works.

Mr. Gold kissed Belle and yet when I held up the knife later, we still see his name on it. So, although we saw the curse begin to break in “Skin Deep” Rumpel held on and chose power/magic over Belle, and so I am led to believe that he continues to do so.

So can true love work in one direction. Like if Belle loves Rumpel, but he not so much, or does it have to involve both people. Which leads one to ask if Mulan loves Philip, but he chooses Aurora, does her tru love have any power?

For it to work, it needs to go both ways. The evil queen says so in “skin deep”.

The “I love you” said by prince Philip, was meant to be ambiguous… I just took it as “I love you” (sexy love) to Aurora and “I love you” (brother type love) to Mulan.

As for Rumplestiltskin… he’s just an enigma wrapped in another enigma, let’s wait and see why nothing happened after they kissed in “broken”

    Yes, good point, Marilou.
I think the kiss had no effect on Rumple because magic works differently in our world. He was already an ordinary man, not glittery and scaly, so there was nothing for him to change from.

    I agree.
