So, I figured we needed to have some sort of discussion on who the man at the beginning of the season was. I know we all thought Bae, but could he be someone else? I found this sign in the background interesting. Hatter? There HAS to be a connection there. It also looks like he has a lot of clocks.
[adrotate group="5"]Okay so I am thinking that he may be The white rabbit because all of the clocks, the rabbit paper weight that is on the desk and the hatter sign… I also think that Jefferson has probably been in contact with him the whole time and sent the note saying that the curse is broken.
Maybe he’s Beaman the stolen antiques dealer? I mean the guy’s apartment has an odd assortment of antiques all over the place.
Guys, take a look at this. Tvline.com sat down and freezframed that little clip to come up with as many clues as possible to who he is. Take a look at number 8. It almost seems to guarantee that he’s Bae. And surely, i’m not the only one to think his collection of clocks looks a tad familiar.
I guess I should put this under a spoiler until “The Crocodile” airs.

I thought that William “Smee” is going to be Beaman since Captain Hook is going to be Killian Jones, and there's no mention of Michael Raymond-James appearing in the episode.
However, even though Beaman fits Smee too because of who he works for, I thought that it would be perfect for Bae too now that we know he's just like his dad in collecting old stuff, and that Beaman looks like Bae's real name, and because it fits Bae's and Rumple's relationship to me post-Curse. Bae had to be the adult in trying to save his father, and it looks like he's still trying to help his father or at least clean up the mess his father made. So I imagine Bae under the name Beaman talking to his father about antiquities throughout the years, and Rumple not even knowing he was talking to Bae, and Bae sending a subtle message to his dad that he needs to “be a man” and stop being a coward.
Unfortunately, though Michael Raymond-James isn't on the cast appearance list for episode 4, so I don't think he's going to be Beaman.

I, like most others, guess he’s going to be Bae- because that’s the only other person we know with 100% certainty, left FTL for a world without magic (so most likely here).
The flat & attire are certainly a match for Rumple, old objects but snazzy dressers- like father like son.
The bowling trophy could be a hint that Emma’s diner wasn’t a diner at all, but a bowling alley! (Or that could be H&K messing with us 😉 )
In the BBQ poster/pic of Once, Henry is wearing the same blue scarf thing that Bae was wearing in S01E18 (I think it was E18- the ep where rumple turns the egg guy into a snail & stands on him). H&K said there is an Easter egg as to who Henry's father is hidden on/in the pic of Henry & it isnt the bow & arrows- I'm hoping its the trunk he's standing on rather than clothing or what ever is hidden in the bow bag 😉I don’t see how the Red hand poster (which I admit I’m clueless on at this stage), the wooden moccasins (he wore boots the whole time) or the weird red striped, white thing, shaped like a tooth hanging next to the pocket watches beside the door fit for Bae though,,,,
If he turned out not to be Bae & lets face it, it is H&K, so they could be trying to get us so focused on this guy they can 1/2 slip Bae in the door under our noses 😉 Then who could he be, my guess would be characters who in their own stories are able to travel between our world & theirs, the most obvious is Peter Pan now they have the rights to do use him (& because he’s one of their favourites I think he’ll get a good showing).
The wooden moccasins fit for Peter (I recall one version of the tale including an Indian girl who wore traditional grab),
The bowling trophy could still belong to Emma still (I dont know who would be better to be Henry’s father- Bae, the boy out of time, who was destroyed by his fathers love of power & evil magic or Peter, the abandoned & trapped boy, who was forced-likely kicking & screaming 😉 to grow up & be a man in our world).
The tooth could be a crocodile tooth???

Of the people in our own world, who would believe FTL was real? My only guess there is either friends of Bae or August (more likely August, who was younger & had no beef with magic). So could he be the black haired boy whom August ran away with? Kids are way more open minded that adults & magic lands where dreams come true etc would probably be a pretty cool draw card to a bunch of kids with no home or family (at least for a while anyway).
I thought he was Bae but now I am not so sure. What I’m thinking is, could he be the person responsible for giving baby Henry to Mr. Gold? If so, the person that sent the postcard could have been Gold…
Im sticking to the theory that it is Bae (who is also Henry’s Father) and that August is the one who sent the postcard. I think that August is staying hidden because he is a wooden man. But I think August was calling someone else last season, not Henry. I think that August and Bae somehow met up in our world. Maybe discovered that they both came from FTL and then August sent Bae to find Emma to check on her …and then knocked her up. Baelfire-> fireman.
