I do think there will be other surprises …. or else the acting will have to be superb to make this episode stand out after the other shows this season.

And I also loved seeing the moment Regina turned evil. It was awesome seeing Emma be so badass and Snow was actually impressed with how she handled Hook. Which means maybe Snow now thinks Emma can handle her own in FTL? It was crazy seeing Henry get attacked too! It was interesting having it seem like Regina’s use of magic is being compared to drug use. I like how she is going to Archie for help. And who is Dr. Whale’s brother? Do we know who he is or is it someone new? It was also really cute that Charming is taking care of Henry so well and making him feel needed. The “knight-in-training” thing was adorable! David punching Whale was funny too! haha
Least Favorite Moments: It was really sad seeing Regina have to send Daniel away. I wish they would have gotten more time together. It is also really annoying that Rumple had Dr. Frankenstein fake not bringing Daniel back just so Regina would come back to him.

My least favorite will have been how quickly Daniel died again. I would have liked to have seen more interaction between the two of them–I did love the emotion of it, of course, and it was a touching moment between the two of them. It is a 45 minute show, but it would have been nice to have more. Also, not going to lie, but my sympathy for Rumpelstiltskin is dwindling. There is only so many times where you can use the coward and his journey to look for his son excuse before it gets old. Once again, the way he manipulated a young Regina was horrible.
My favorites were Emma with Captain Hook–the way she handled him was awesome. 🙂 She was strong, a fighter, and she took none of his lies. I hope we get to see more of that now in the show. I loved every moment with Dr. Whale and Jefferson and Regina and Prince Charming–these three stole the episode for me.
Also, sassy Jefferson was fun, even if he was using Regina. I’ll give him a bit more credit seeing as how this was before he had his daughter, and he may have been in need of money.
October 29, 2012 at 1:44 am #158303belle-fireParticipantI loved seeing emma and snow co-awesoming. I felt really bad for young regina, rumple seemed particularly cruel, even if it was all for a purpose. I am once again in awe at the sheer length and complexity rumple puts into his plots: teaching cora, ‘saving’ regina from cora, tutoring regina, purposefully dashing her hopes to push her off the edge and keep her reason for hating snow (how many times has he kept regina from satisfying her revenge, by keeping snow charming together etc.) just to have someone to release the curse, ALL to get back to his son. immense. Snarky jefferson was awesome. I celebrated the victor-y of the frankenstein theory. It was just amazing to have all types and people of power- rumple, regina, frankenstein, and jefferson all in the same room. When daniel came back, I really enjoyed their one second of joy, it was one of the least cop-out ways of bringing someone back, and specifically because shows that bring people back from the dead end up jumping the shark, I was (sorry) a bit relieved when he died again. It was important for regina to let go. Rambling, so I’ll stop, but I think this was a good episode.
October 29, 2012 at 1:57 am #158315cruel_fortunaParticipantFavorite Moment(s): Rumple being his usual snarky self, the conversation in the woods between Victor, Rumple & Jefferson. Plus Mulan, Emma, & Snow seeing through Hook’s ploy. Of course, it was also nice to finally have full confirmation of who Whale is/was, of course – it only just posed more questions – but that’s also something that I love.
Least Favorite: Daniel’s death, I don’t quite understand why his entire body had to turn to dust in the wind but it’s just a small nit-pick. David punching Dr. Whale annoyed me too, even if it was justified – he could lose his ‘temporary’ badge for stuff like that.

Least favorite: they could have cut out Emma and Snow entirely out of this episode again. whatever happened between these two and Hook during this episode could have easily have happened next episode.

Also when the moment when Regina actually becomes the Evil Queen was cool to see. The Frankenstein stuff was really good I just wonder how many worlds we’ll get to see. Of course loved seeing Emma and Snow again really missed them last week. That slug Charming gave Whale was awesome!

I think Emma can sense the LIES OF MEN better then most people… she does not let a pretty face sway her… must be a HARD lesson she learned in the past life with her lover… who abandoned her…. I do not think she can trust any man.

I think she’s been learning from mother Snow now and she’s able to handle herself better in the EF, I’m just wondering how well Snow is going to take letting her cub go up a beanstalk with Captain Hook?! 😯
