So, anyone else hear the hearts beating as Henry passed the vault of hearts? Once again gets me to surmising who the hearts belong to and who the vault belongs to, Cora or Regina. Like I said in a previous post, if I were Charming I think I would have explored a little more.

I wonder if it was just a background sound added for dramatic effect or if we were meant to assume that the sound was really there. If it were the latter, could it be that Henry has some special ability to hear them that no one else has?
October 15, 2012 at 4:04 am #156705youfoundmeParticipantI think the sounds were put there to remind us that hearts were in there. I mean, I’m sure we all knew, but it was probably just put in for special effect. But it is an intriguing idea to think that maybe Henry has some sort of ability to hear them.
October 15, 2012 at 5:54 am #156725Killian JonesParticipantNo those were definitely hearts in there question we should ask whose missing a heart in Storybrooke?
October 15, 2012 at 6:47 am #156728charlie francisParticipantI wonder who all those hearts belong to. Random innocent people, Regina’s enemies, or people like Graham who don’t follow orders?
October 15, 2012 at 11:56 am #156742mikeParticipantFrom what we’ve seen of that crypt to date, I don’t think one can hear the sound of heart beats when they go down into the crypt. By the expression on Henry’s face when he stares at the wall of vaults, and by the fact that he has read the book, I believe the sound was an indication to us (the audience) that Henry understands what is in those vaults. It would be interesting if Henry calls out Regina on her still keeping those hearts, since she has expressed her intent to change. Maybe there is a way to give back the hearts.

I have a feeling one belongs to Kathryn since we saw her heart being framed as evidence of her murder. I hope that Henry demands Regina give back those hearts. She is one twisted lady, especially if she keeps them.

Yes, giving back those hearts should have been the number one priority for her, imo, if she’s really serious about redeeming herself. In fact, she needs to get rid of those snakes and anything else that she’s used before down in the vault in her evil schemes.
People are making excuses that she didn’t have enough time yet to give back the hearts, but I think that should have been a top priority over cleaning out her office. I’m really interested in seeing if she finally does give back those hearts this season, I’m guessing no because she’s Regina, but we’ll see.
October 15, 2012 at 5:38 pm #156788mikeParticipantMaybe she has a check list: 1. clean out office; 2. get rid of black clothes; 3. return everyones hearts; 4. destroy magical beasts and trinkets in crypt; 5. kick back.
October 15, 2012 at 6:27 pm #156792charlie francisParticipantI don’t see any reason why she should get rid of all of her magic and leverage just yet. She may be trying to change, but it would be idiotic of her not to have an ace in the hole just in case.
As for the hearts? Well, whose to say their owners are even in Storybrooke? Or even that they belong to decent people, and not say, King George?
