I know there hasn’t been much talk about bringing on The Little Mermaid, Ariel this season but the mention of “Deep” makes me think we might see a fairytale under the sea. But I’m not holding my breath. Now, if there is a casting spoiler out there that they hire an actress who is a red-head, then I’d say yes, “That’s Ariel!” but it probably won’t be about Ariel.

…which is mine and my boyfriend’s favorite.

but if it’s not about Ariel, then what the might story be about?

Description of the episode says that Gold and Regina will put Davids life at risk so he can communicate with Snow and Emma. It was already stated by Aurora that the boy she saw in her dreams was Henry. I am assuming Into The Deep will have something to do with David going in to Henry’s dream for him to talk to Aurora so she can tell Snow and Emma what hes told her. Of course invading someone elses dreams has its price and itll probably be brought about because of magic, so if he is in there to long he could get stuck in there or something along those lines.

    I just had a thought …

What if the risk that David will have to take is to go under the sleeping curse. He might be able to communicate with Aurora directly and possibly Snow (we still don’t know what happens when she sleeps) as his soul would exist in that world. The risk would be that Snow would need to make it back and kiss him in order to lift the sleeping curse. “The Deep,” therefore, would refer to the slumber which David would be entering in order to talk to Snow.

The reason I don’t think he could invade Henry’s dreams is that they’re not dreams. It’s another world that Henry’s soul continues to travel to when his body sleeps. In order to go there, David needs a means of travelling between worlds and the only known way of getting to this world is from the sleeping curse.

Or who knows, maybe Captains Ahab and Nemo will show up and join Hook in a raucous episode composed entirely of sea shanties. 😛
