THE previews showed Daniel returning and trying to strangle Regina… He is the ghost that she sees…. I think Daniel is SHAPE SHIFTING CORA … she is here and torturing her daughter with the past….
OR it could be a dreams….
But I like my first theory best…. a DREAM would be a cop out

Yeah, Daniel is most definitely Frankenstein’s monster, definitely not shape-shifting Cora. If she had found a way in to Storybrooke I think she would be doing something very different.

I don’t think Whale brings daniel back to SB. I’ more inclined to believe that Regina is suffering from hallucinations at this point. They will use Regina’s problem in SB to parallel what is happening with Whale in FTL.

I disagree, I think Whale does bring Daniel back but it is not the Daniel Regina remembers. The heart that Whale puts into Daniel is either going to be an evil heart or perhaps seperating the heart from a person does something to the heart.

Keeper of FelixDoes anyone else think that maybe — if Daniel is evil and can’t really be controlled — that Regina is going to be forced to either let him be destroyed or to kill him herself? I can imagine her having to plunge her hand into his chest and take out his heart with Many Tears and Many Feelings. And it would be heart breaking. ;-;

I could SO see that happen!
Daniel is the Frankenstein monster that Dr. Whale,aka Dr. Frankie, tried to reanimate back in FTL. It didn’t work. Thus Regina keeping Daniel’s body encased in a glass casket in SB. However, I believe Dr. Whale attempted to Daniel back again, in SB and was successful as we see his body missing from the casket. That’s why we see Daniel skulking about in the shadows of SB. We also see Regina looking in horror at a hospital gurney covered in blood. On that gurney is Dr. Whales left arm. Remember 2 months ago, when we saw stills form 2×05. In them we saw Whales left arm wrapped up in green tape, his shirt torn below the left shoulder and covered in blood and he was carrying around cooler. I’m sure the cooler contains his missing arm that Daniel tore off of him, once Whale brought him back to life. Regina may have to reach in and take Daniel’s replacement heart so that he can finally rest in piece. It will be interesting to see who’s heart Dr. Whale used this time. I think it was a murderous heart from someone dark and evil.
