I’ve been getting very suspicious in the last few days about the Frankenstein Theory…. It just seems way too easy. From the promo, to David Ander’s comment that the promo spoiled it, I think they’re intentionally misleading us. I think they saw how popular the Frankenstein theory was getting and decided to fan the flames. The writers have said that his identity will be on par with Rumple being the beast, and Red Being the wolf. That makes me think that he has multiple identities.
What if he is Doc Frank AND Regina turns him into monstro because of what he did to daniel.
What if he is Doc Frank AND Jekyl/Hyde
What if he is Doc Frank AND the monster (a stretch, I know.)
What do you guys think. Possible he has duel Identities?

Yes he might be DR FRANKENSTEIN TONIGHT… but I think he will be Dr Jeckle and Mr Hyde in the future… I think he is who causes the horrific death in CHILD OF THE MOON… the one where they blame RED for…. Just a theory but I think they will be wasting the skill of a good actor if they do not give him more air time. I can see him being either Dr Jeckle or JACK THE RIPPER ……

Ooh, that’s a good theory. I hadn’t thought of that! Although, I kind of want the Mystery Man/Neal Cassady to be the Wizard of Oz, but that does make a lot of sense.

I was getting that vibe, too. Plus they mentioned the crystal ball and shoes, which I assume is the Wicked Witch of the East’s or West’s, which returned to another land…probably Kansas. So they did reference Oz in this episode. They might have to refer to the silver shoes in the books instead of ruby slippers since I think MGM still might hold the copyright for them and in the book they’re silver.
I can totally see him being the Wizard. Maybe his true love will turn out to be Dorothy. Hmm…if it is, he could just get on Facebook, look her up, and tell her to come on up to Storybrooke, Maine. 😆

A lot of people speculated that Dr. Whale would be the Wizard of OZ and prior to the promos, it was the number one guess. Perhaps they were just doing what they did last season in The Return. Throwing out OZ references so people would keep thinking he was the Wizard and not Frankie.

@JaneEspenson haha was he just supposed to be Frankenstein’s monster? For a while we thought Doctor Frankenstein was the Wizard of Oz haha!
