Considering that Daniel was killed by Cora before Regina had even met or apprenticed herself to Rumplestiltskin, how was she able to use a preservation spell that kept his body as if he had taken his last breath?
^That’s…a really good question. I have no idea. Plot hole?
She knew about Cora’s spell book didn’t she? Maybe she looked through the book to see if she could bring him back and instead found the preservation spell.
Maybe the spell she cast preserved Daniel’s body to appear as though he’d just ceased breathing, no matter how far gone his corpse was (it could’ve been months after his death).

This stood out to me as well. It just didn’t sound right. We think there are a couple months of a gap between Daniel’s death and Regina’s using magic for the first time (when she pushed Cora through the looking glass).
Assuming they used some sort of embalming process in FTL, he could probably still look pretty fresh even if several weeks had passed before Regina got a grasp of magic and used it to preserve him.
People look way to deep into things.
That’s sort of the point of this board…
its one thing to analyze stuff, but to really point out minor…no not even minor….just minute things like that is just looking too deep into things and nitpicking
It’s not minor, minute or nitpicking when trying to establish a timeline.
