So after watching The Doctor for the first time the other night, I was reminded of Emma’s not-so- observant skills, which I originally posted about in the season 1 finale.

We know when we met Hook in the episode, it was Hook. I think it might even have been mentioned that he had one hand 😆 but Peter Pan is a well known children’s story in our world and Emma didn’t put two and two together quicker than most of us?

A mysterious guy with one hand in fairytale land. 😆

And he has this random hook that no one noticed before. Chee, I wonder who he might be ❓ ❓

no one noticed the hook he had because it was in his satchel which they didn’t look in it until he said “look inside.”

A man doesn’t have a hand and Emma should really automatically conclude that he’s Captain Hook? Really?

I still don’t understand why nobody looked in the satchel. Idiots.

Looking in that satchel would have been the first thing I would have done. Then, I’d ask why does a blacksmith need a hook? 😆

Emma said that Fortune doesn’t favor the brave. Bad call, Emma. The line came from a song from the musical Aida. The music is written by Tim Rice and Elton John, who did music for the Lion King. So…Aida is sorta a Disney Princess. Favorite line: “You don’t like your fate, change it! You are your own master, there are no shakles on you!” Sounds a bit like Belle, eh? I would love if they added her.

Yes the music is written by Rice and John, and it is also officially a Disney produced musical, which was based on a Verdi opera. I like many of the songs in connection to Once, actually. They have some strong connections to the themes we’re given here.
