NATALIE: Yes, it is definitely Neal Cassady, aka the man we saw in the opening moments of the premiere, who knocked up Emma, and that’s not the last time we’ll see him. “He obviously is posed with the possibility of coming back to Storybrooke because of the pigeon who brought him the little note,” Jennifer Morrison says. “So I think definitely there’s going to have to be a decision made on his part as to whether or not he decides to follow up on what he started 10 years ago.” Considering Morrison says she knew who the father was since the pilot, Neal is totally Bae, right? K&H had stated, in a previous interview, that we would meet Henry’s father in 2×06. I’m surprised how many people are still questioning that out there, but they are. 😕
Jane Espenson, during a live blog, stated this: that we should wonder why he hasn't already come to Storybrooke considering he'd gotten the postcard a while back. He's had lots of time to do so.
Could it be because as much as he loves Emma, he doesn’t want to run into Daddy Dearest?? ❓

Interesting. Reading this in the context of what K&H brought up about Neal’s life in New York…I wonder if it we’ll see a bit more of Neal outside Storybrooke.
^And, OMG!!! 😮 TheGoldenKey – That’s a great point.
My biggest question is, if August kept in contact and told him about Henry (probably not, or Neal might [most certainly, after seeing him] have wanted to meet him) or if he’s oblivious to having a son. That’s gonna be interesting to see, too.

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this makes so much sense now!!!!!!!!! And another thing I spotted. First shot in Broken was of the Horse right? And everyone kept going on and on about it…didn’t Bae get run over by a horse and Rumple went all Rumply like on the driver????? Just saying……….

Dena that’s a great point! Can’t believe we all missed that! He went crazy with that donkey cart driver, turned him into a bug and stepped on him. What do we see in the opening scene of Broken as they introduce Neal? Neal walking past all the horse and carriages. Brilliant! Thanks so much for posting this! 😀

I just rewatched a bunch of clips (so I cannot recall which episode, but I think “Snow Falls”) and Emma made some comment to MM about not getting involved with a married man (“trust me” she said)…
So I had just posted my last comment, and then I read that…
Perhaps Emma has seen Neal again since she had Henry (I would have to rewatch the episode when she and MM talk about “Henry’s dad” because I honestly don’t recall what was said, so feel free to disprove this, I’m totally talking off the top of my head) and he was married?! or SAID he was (because August told him to stay away?).
Then again, with Emma’s implied history with men, she could be talking about someone totally different. It just seems like everything is so planned in this show that she wouldn’t have made that comment were it not significant. But perhaps being involved with a married guy is significant just in how much Emma has changed now. Who knows 🙂

Thank you =) And noooo I saw it and I was very honored! It just kinda hit me like lightening out of nowhere XD because everyone was speculating as that’s one of the first things we see, the closeup on the horse and how it has some significance.
