Regardless of what is IN the box, I think the box itself is a big nod to JJ Abrams, Lost creator.

If you are a LOST fan, and really want to know what the box is all about, I highly recommend this very entertaining, and interesting Ted Talks video.

Thanks for the link. When he said he loved printing and book binding, my mind immediatley jumped to the conclusion that J.J. Abrams is the writer of Henry’s book. ๐Ÿ˜†

Great Link! I LOVE Lost and this episode had so many great nods to the show. Not only did I think about ” The man from tallahassee” episode, I also thought of ” stranger in a strange land”. In this episode Jack spends some time in Phuket, Thailand where he gets a tattoo! Maybe Neil and Emma have been to Phuket together? Just a thought.

I’ve only gotten to the second season of LOST but have heard about the box and other connections. Today I was doing some research and was surprised to find that the name of the man who shows/tells Locke about the box is named Ben. We know that Ben will be used as the name of Owen's father in Welcome to Storybrooke. One of the episodes of LOST that was Ben and box-centric was The Man From Tallahassee. I don’t know much about it, like I said, but it’s interesting to see the nods even if there aren’t any connections to this Ben.

On LOST, Ben had two alliases –

    Henry Gale – Oz reference.

Dean Moriarty – connection to Neal Cassady.
The real Neal Cassady was the inspiration for the character ‘Dean Moriarty’ in Jack Kerouac’s novel ‘On the Road’.

    Love all the LOST/classic literature/film connections ๐Ÿ™‚
