so Ruby’s enjoying the last hours of the fall moon ends, running around in the woods? without her red cloak? and Charming isn’t concerned about this? He just prevented the town from killing her and Ruby’s free to run around in the woods? I mean, we saw that she can still change to the wolf in Storybrooke and without the cloak, she’s running around as the wolf having the time of her life? I get that she can control it but there’s something amiss here.
Emma would probably be like “WTH?”
I feel like a lesson was not learned here.

LOL! It reminds me of the Angel episode, “The Ring” where Angel and company release a bunch of demons who have been kept prisoner into the world, and then they’re like “mmm, maybe that’s not such a good idea after all” except OUaT didn’t play it for laughs in this episode.
I agree though that there were several head scratching moments. Like why did Charming let Regina into his house to watch Henry when surely Archie or someone could have been available? Why didn’t Charming try harder to get the hat from the fire? Wasn’t the hat already supposed to be incapable of working per Jefferson’s words earlier in the season? Why did Charming so coolly open King George’s car trunk, but then smashed the window of King George’s car to get into it? Why was King George so dumb to leave evidence like that in his car? Why did the dream not look scary at all but instead brought to my mind the infectious 70s hit “Disco Inferno”?
November 14, 2012 at 4:05 am #160696obisgirlParticipantall valid questions. 😆
November 14, 2012 at 4:59 am #160703fairytaleprincessParticipantAw, let Ruby have her fun.
As for the hat, good question. Maybe the diamonds would have restored it with their magic. Ragina needed to use magic to get magic to work. (Daniel’s ring in the hat to open the portal to retrieve the apple)
As for watching Henry I think that David and Ragina are trying to be sival towards one another for Henry’s sake. Ragina is trying to redeem herself and taking care of him for short periods without using magic are baby steps to redemption.

She coulda snuck out without anyone knowing, but then they put that howl in there right after she’d left, and dude, the people who were after her before would hear that and freak out all over again. I didn’t really have an issue with her going out, because I trust her not to go eating anyone, and Charming trusts her, (BTW I really loved the scene where he was getting close to her when she was in wolf form, it really showed how much they know and trust each other and was very touching), but I wouldn’t blame people in town who don’t really know her to be a bit wary, so perhaps she should keep the howling down.

Coz Lana’s on a main cast salary and it woulda cost them more to bring in Raphael just for a bit part? 😛 Seriously though, they had to set it up so that Regina would go to Rumple for help with Henry’s dreams.
Why didn’t Charming try harder to get the hat from the fire? Wasn’t the hat already supposed to be incapable of working per Jefferson’s words earlier in the season?
Yeah, I dunno why he didn’t at least look around for a long stick he could use to drag it out of the fire, or dump sand on it to try and put it out, or something. I can appreciate that he didn’t wanna throw his bare hands right in there, but he coulda tried other options. But considering it was already pretty busted up, what was left probably burned up pretty quickly, I guess, so maybe there was no point in him even trying.
Why did Charming so coolly open King George’s car trunk, but then smashed the window of King George’s car to get into it? Why was King George so dumb to leave evidence like that in his car?
I didn’t have a problem with Charming breaking into the car, but I was kinda surprised that he didn’t instantly recognise it as George’s. And yes, it was kinda careless for George to just leave that stuff in the car.
Why did the dream not look scary at all but instead brought to my mind the infectious 70s hit “Disco Inferno”?
Well now every time I see a scene in that red room I’m gonna be singing, “Buuuurrrrnnnn, baby buuuurrrrrnnnn,” in my head. Thank you very much. 😛

This is the thing I was concerned about when she went running off. Does she know exactly where the city limit is if she’s running around in the woods in the middle of the night? If she’s all excited and having a grand old run under the moon, she’d better still be paying attention to where she is, so she doesn’t accidentally step over the line.

LOL! Sorry, but the floor was all weird. I know people last week were talking about how they ripped off the idea of a red room from Twin Peaks, and I actually wouldn’t have minded if they had gone more in that direction because that room was weird and freaky while I didn’t really find the fire room all that scary in Once because of the flooring. They really could have left that out of there.
I’m just being silly though with these questions because it was just an okay episode for me, but at least it won’t be so hard to pick a least favorite episode of the season now. Although good question about whether or not Ruby knows enough in her wolf form not to go past the city limits, and if she does get close to the city limits, what are the people guarding the border going to think/do?
November 14, 2012 at 11:31 pm #160787MyrilParticipantRed room disco inferno 😆 So I wasn’t the only one thinking immediately of Twin Peaks, good.
And I guess, some people here like to watch crime shows a lot 😉 Did Spencer / King Georg use an axt? Then should have seen on first sight, that Billy couldn’t have been torn apart and killed by an animal. And why do the people so readily believe David, that it was Spencer? Besides the other things already mentioned.
Red going for a run as wolf in the end is one of my favorite moments of the episode. Although you’re right, might have been not the wisest idea considering how some people reacted before to her. David might have convinced them, that she didn’t kill Billy, but that didn’t calm down everybody’s fears. That David doesn’t object, didn’t bother me, he trusts her. That Red now thinks she can do it without risk of harming anyone, now sure that she is (again) in control, is the right conclusion though, the episode was about her coming to terms with what and who she is, in FTL and now again in Storybrook.
¯\_(?????? ?)_/¯

I agree I thought it was cool to see David’s first choice to take care Henry when he’s away is Regina. Also maybe he figured since Snow had gotten the nightmares after the apple and Henry got it after eating the turnover that it could be related to the sleeping curse that Regina made and maybe she would have an idea of how to fix it.
And yeah Red should have her fun she has control again she fully aware of everything she’s doing I don’t see the harm.
