Spoiler TV have released a small synopsis for Episode 2×10, which airs on ABC on the 6th January.
2×10 – The Cricket Game
When Regina is accused of murdering a beloved fairytale character, Emma thinks she is innocent; Prince Charming and Snow White plan the evil queen’s execution.http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/12/once-upon-time-episode-210-cricket-game_12.htmlI was really hoping beyond hope that Archie wouldn’t die, but it doesn’t sound good. 😕 There’s still that chance that he’s not actually dead, but Cora rips out his heart and commands him to play dead. It could part of Cora’s evil plan to turn the town against Regina, forcing Regina into her mother’s arms.

And I feel a bit annoyed that Charming — after seeing Regina trying to redeem herself — is now suddenly plotting her death. I mean, really? Falling for another fake murder, David?

I think that the “Prince Charming and Snow White plan the evil queen’s execution” part is the backstory part of the episode.
December 12, 2012 at 11:19 am #164677kranenParticipantWhat if Archie turns out to be the killer? They did say that there were explosive things coming up for him (assuming that he’s not the one who dies that is).
December 12, 2012 at 12:55 pm #164678oncewatcherParticipantWell, spoilers have said that the Charmings will be betrayed by somebody who we thought we could trust. The Blue Fairy has been floated, but it is possible that it’s somebody else. I hope it isn’t Red or Archie.

Yes, it’s not looking good for Archie right now considering that he’d be a small, but beloved character to kill off that could help cut some of the cast bloating going on now, but I think they still need him for the Geppetto and August reunion. Plus, he’s the only one that Regina may be able to go to talk to, and I could see him needing to work with other people still like Rumple individually and Rumple with Belle, and maybe with Nealfire, so I don’t think they’ll actually kill him off.
On the other hand, if Cora just has him kidnapped and makes it look like Archie’s dead or has control of his heart making him play dead, it might be too much like what they did with Kathryn last year about the same time last season. So maybe they’ll just have Cora look really, really evil by killing off Archie. I mean so far, I believe she’s evil, but other than killing Daniel in front of Regina, and killing the village, which unfortunately was done off screen, her evil deeds haven’t matched up yet with her daughter’s or Rumple’s, imo. Maybe they need to do something dramatic like Cora actually killing Archie off, so that people know exactly why Regina and Rumple seemed so scared of her.

Yes, I think that’s definitely part of the flashbacks and what we saw in the promos with Regina and Snow fighting in the cell, and Regina in peasant clothes being lead by guards somewhere.
How funny is that though that it seems like Emma might be helping Regina out despite it looking like Regina murdered someone, after all the discussion last episode about how mean Emma was for not inviting Regina to dinner.
December 12, 2012 at 2:26 pm #164682PheeParticipantWell this murder talk doesn’t sound particularly promising for Archie, given the name of the ep. Or could Archie be too obvious a choice?

Yeah these things usually have a bit from SB and a bit from FTL.
December 12, 2012 at 2:29 pm #164683oncewatcherParticipantI think Hook is scared of her, too. I think he gave a lot of indication of that in FTL. If they kill off Archie and Cora is the one who does it (I don’t think Hook will have a hand in that. He has another iron in the fire), and Emma helps Regina get off the hook (no pun intended), Emma and Regina will probably team up to defeat Cora. Hook will turn on her. Maybe that’s an element that will break the ice between him, and Emma. It’ll be interesting to see how Neal will fit into all this, but my instincts are telling me that Regina (being Regina) will use Neal against Emma, in some way. She wants Henry, and Neal is Henry’s father. She’ll be up to no good, and at some point, I think she’ll use Neal to get what she wants.

I disagree. Neal has been working with August ever since he separated from Emma. He’s been waiting for the curse to be broken and seems to have a plan in the works. I don’t think he’s going to allow Regina to get in the way of that. I think his main focus is going to be on Emma, Henry and Mr. Gold (if he is in indeed Baelfire).
December 12, 2012 at 4:18 pm #164698oncewatcherParticipantBefore I begin, please let me apologize for the length. I do think it’s worth reading, though.
Regarding the previous post:
In a perfect world, yes but….
When Neal shows up in Storybrooke, initially, he will not receive a good reception from Emma. She doesn’t know why he allowed her to end up in prison for something he did. She doesn’t know that the decision he made was sacrificial and unselfish. When he shows up, from her point of view, this may be a situation where she feels like he’s showing up one day to say “honey, I’m home “. Neal will have to earn his way back into Emma’s life, and he will have to earn his way into Henry’s because Emma probably won’t be real keen on letting him get to know him. At least, not right away.
With the theory I have, I’m just taking emotion out of the equation. Regina, is still Regina. To her, whether justified or not, Henry is still her son. That’s why I think she’ll see this as an opportunity for her to swoop in and take advantage of the situation. I think she will, or at least will try to schmooze Neal in her direction. If she knows Emma has an emotional connection to Neal, there’s a lot she can use against to her advantage; having Henry’s father in her corner, and another way she can “stick it” to the Charmings.
For Neal, he will already be emotionally vulnerable before he even gets to Storybrooke. When his first encounter with Emma doesn’t go well (and, it won’t), he will be heart broken. Regina will know that when she finds out who he is. She’ll see an opportunity here for herself. In fact, my instincts have me thinking she will at least try to influence him romantically. For Hook, in the same way as Regina, this will be a romantic opportunity for him to save the day for Emma; to be her knight in shining armor and be the man who will stand in battle for her; to fight the dragons in her life that caused so much. To help himself, he’ll put Neal’s name on every one of those. Initially, some of this may not be for the most honest of reasons. Some of it may to help him get closer to Gold, but I think he really does have a crush on Emma, but those feelings will begin to mature when he learns the whole story about what happened to her, which made her distrust so much, that she’d leave him on that bean stalk. She put Neal’s face on Hook when she did that. There’s also the aspect of what happened to Graham. He died in Emma’s arms. There’s an emotional tag attached to his event, and is certainly something Hook can identify with himself.
Psychologically, I think Hook is still trying to “save” Milah. Trying to “save” her, is what has damanged him emotionally, and the passion for this “mission” he has is what has led him to do so many evil things in his search for Gold. He knows Milah is gone, but he hasn’t let her go. When he truly understands how much he and Emma have in common, I think his priorities will be made very vulnerable to realignment. It’s funny how when you think you see things clearly in life, all of a sudden something happens and you look at things from a different perspective. I think that’s what will happen for Hook. Oh, he’ll still hate Gold and for now, regardless of of how he feels for Emma, revenge will be his #1 target. That said though, I see a huge weak spot in him, which is definitely subject to that “floor” of his purposes giving way under the weight of his heart with again, shows a lot of vulnerability. It would be interesting, is to see how all of this will calculate for everybody. It will certainly provide for some great story telling.
