Deadline is reporting that Charmed actress Rose McGowan has been cast as the younger version of Barbara Hershey’s character Cora, the Evil Queen’s mother, for an upcoming flashback.
No news yet on when flashback this take place but, based on the timing of the announcement, it will likely be episode 2.15 or 216.

I was wondering, since they casted a young Cora — if we’ll get to meet a young Henry Sr. as well? But I haven’t seen anything yet.
I don’t think we will see a young Henry sr. Cora met Rumple before she met Henry sr.

Keeper of FelixI think she’s perfect to play young Cora! And Cora’s backstory is needed pretty quickly, in my opinion. They can’t have her as JUST the evil plot driving villian. Like Regina, they’ve got to show how she got to be the way she is.

I just hope they add a new twist to things and not that we are seeing a repeat similar to EQ apprenticing under Rumple. I realize that EQ is most likely the child promised to Rumple so it would make sense that Cora made some sort of deal to spare her. However, they’ve got to pump the story up a bit.
