As much as I’m loving this season, I think the writers are getting a little bit too carried away with all the different storylines. Katheryn, Sidney, and even Cinderella have all pretty much been forgotten. August was a very important character in season one and suddenly they are not getting to him at all. You would think Emma would be asking about where he is or Marco would have been talking to them about him. I hope whatever the reason for his absence is, it’s going to be a good one.

If memory serves, there was a spoiler at some point that his SB counterpart was gonna be in an ep, I’m wanting to say he was the school’s gym teacher? But I guess it ended up on the cutting room floor, which is a shame because it would have wrapped her storyline up properly.
Cinderella pretty much served her purpose too, so I don’t necessarily expect that we’ll see her again.
They showed that Sidney was locked up in a cell under the hospital. I guess he’s still down there unless and until the actor is free to make another cameo appearance and they have a use for him on the show again, which may or may not happen.
As for August, I expect (hope) that he’ll be back when Neal is back. He’d freaking better be, because I need a proper Pinocchio/Gepetto reunion. It’d be strange if they don’t bring him back at all once Neal is around, given that they’ve been in contact, and that he was significantly involved with Neal and Emma’s history. They probably couldn’t have easily connected him to the other stuff that’s been going on so far in SB this season, so I’m not surprised we haven’t seen him again there yet. Might have been nice if they’d had the wooden man hiding behind a tree at Archie’s funeral though.

He did appear in the same episode that she went missing in, for like 3 seconds…

But I agree about the August thing. Emma cared of him (whether romantically or otherwise, she realized he was right and that she kind of screwed him by not believing him) and I CANNOT BELIEVE she hasn’t been like “ok, I’m home, I hugged my kid, got the Sheriff’s badge back, walked in on my parents being married, made some tacos, wrongfully accused someone… now I need to go find the guy who helped me!” and at least checked on him?!
Unless she totally forgot the state she left him in when she was trying to save Henry and ended up breaking the curse (which, rightfully so, a whole metric crap-tonne of stuff happened that day, and then she spent some time in another world).
I miss August!

Maybe that’s the ep I’m thinking of then. I seem to recall an official ep synopsis, where they list all the guest stars, and it had the actor listed as playing Jim (the gym teacher…what’s in a name), but couldn’t remember off the top of my head actually seeing him in an ep.

Yeah, I can give her a pass up until this point for not having dedicated time to finding him, because she’s kinda been preoccupied, but the issue will hopefully be addressed soon. If she’s gonna run into Neal at some point, then the topic of August will surely have to come up in conversation.
Emma: You sold me out and I went to jail!
Neal: It wasn’t my fault!
Emma: O rly, whose was it then?
Neal: August made me do it.
Emma: *jaw hits the floor* I need to find that bastard.PS. “metric ****tonne” has always been one of my fave phrases.

Dexter! LOL
January 15, 2013 at 1:09 pm #168417nonnieParticipanteion baily who played AUGUST is on another show on cable I think… he needed steady income…
January 15, 2013 at 1:26 pm #168420PheeParticipantHe was cast in a pilot for a new show called Trooper on TNT. Dunno whether or not the pilot has even been shot yet, let alone if the show has been officially picked up yet. His casting for the pilot was only reported a month or so ago.
January 15, 2013 at 2:41 pm #168428clockwatcherParticipantI don’t know if anyone’s thought of this… but I like the idea that he was in the coffin- that he was the random guy Cora killed instead of Archie. Of course, he wouldn’t be dead, and I doubt this actually happened, but it is something to think about. 🙂

If he somehow wasn’t wooden anymore, that could work. If he was still wooden, I am guessing Cora would have had a mere hunch it was Pinocchio. But Eddy and Adam, I believe, said that character wasn't significant at all, although we might know who he is… the point of that statement was Cora not even caring and being like “it's my first day in town, how am I to know who I killed”. But I don't think that person is anyone we know.
That is great that Eion booked a pilot – hopefully his show gets picked up – always nice to see actors we like having success. Cable shows are shorter seasons, so that likely means he’d still have time to guest star, and Eddy and Adam have always said that actors being on other shows make scheduling a bit more tough, but that doesn’t mean they can’t come back.
Also, if August if still wood, doesn’t that mean they wouldn’t need Eion on yet anyways (until he turns back into a “real boy”?). Maybe he can just record the voice elsewhere 🙂
