Rumple and Cora kiss

They are ex lovers and ex lovers frequently have a soft spot for each other and can remain cordial in their meeting post break up. After all Rumple was over 300 years old so he could have lived many lives, had many sexual partners without really loving them. He does not seem to have aged.
Rumple / Gold went from a simple shepherd / weaver to a gentleman with a manor house. ( the one that Belle kept tidy) He could educate himself in magic why not more refine living and academic pursuits. He had to do something during the time he waited for the curse to be enacted.

Jane Espenson tweeted that Rumple’s facial expression was like he was looking at a giant tumour! 😆 What Rumple won’t do to find Bae and keep Belle safe. 😆

I agree 100% that if Rumple knew Regina were his daughter, there’s no way that he’d have mistreated her like he did, considering his love for his son Bae. However, I find myself wondering that maybe he doesn’t know. It’s entirely conceivable that Cora and Rumpel carried on an extra-marrital affair, but Cora claimed the child was Henry Sr.’s. As the dark one, you’d think Rumpel would be able to tell when Cora was lying to him, but maybe his emotions clouded his judgement.
