Belle broke the Rumbelle CUP! Chip died.

At least in this version of the story, Chip isn’t alive!

Rumple looks as if someone just pulled his heart out…poor guy. (It’s amazing how this show can make us feel for a character who has proven to have no regard for human life in the past!)

But, I am a Rumbelle fan, and while this scene is heartbreaking, it is also exciting because it is setting the foundation for them to journey towards love all over again. I, for one, cannot wait.

Now, what about super glue? If they glue chip back together does Chip live again? 😀 Sounds funny I know, but this is reminding me of Humpty Dumpty.

I bet Rumple saved the pieces. I think he’ll put Chip back together for her. When that happens, I think it’ll be very a very sweet moment for them; when he gives Chip back to her.

Oh my goodness, that scene almost killed me. I agree A Chipped Cup, Belle will be heartbroken once Belle regains her memories. But of course, there’s nothing a little magic can’t fix. Gold will find a way to mend it back together eventually. But the thing that upset me the most was not the cup shattering, but the symbol of Belle and Rumpel’s love shattering. The cup represented Rumpel’s love for Belle and his sorrow after hearing about her supposed “death” back in the Enchanted Forest. So, having it smashed to the ground was like taking Rum’s heart and smashing it to the ground as well.

I completely agree. It wasn’t the death of the cup that upset me, it was the (temporary) death of the relationship that upset me. But like most have pointed out in other threads, Belle will eventually regain her memory. However, it will probably be through great sacrifice on Rumpel’s part. I think he’s either going to have to give something up or make a grand gesture to prove to Belle that he loves her. Either way, it may prove to be a good thing for both characters. It will give Rumpel time to realize the consequences of his actions and a chance to make some real changes in his life. And for Belle, it will give her some interesting character development.

Having said all that, I WANT MY RUMBELLE BACK!!! 😥
