THE title to this episode is a total enigma to me …. I have absolutely no idea what title means…. does anyone have a theory or idea of what it could mean.

It seems to be of French origin early 1800s.
I found the meaning of Lacey as a surname that is very interesting. Here it seems to be of Norman-French origin. It mentions it could be derived of Lascius and someone discusses what it could be based on in Latin specifically “lassus”, meaning “weary, tired”, or possibly even from the Latin word “lascivus”, meaning (when applied in a good sense) “playful, sportive frolicsome.”
So it could be a first name or a surname. If it is say a female character then the last name could be a maiden name and if married it is possible that she took her husband’s name whatever it may be.
I do think there has to be something in the name. It is the title after all.
Just got an idea- what if “Lacy” (or Lacey) is the HER that Greg Mendel has been communicating with?
No it’s not her. I don’t know if you are in spoilers or what so I won’t tell you who she is until you say otherwise ^^
