I know it is bold of me to make the suggestion, but I think it would be great if another board was added where we could discus the actors from UOaT themselves, how they do within OUaT, but also what other roles they have played and what we think of that.
Now we just discus the role they play, and sometimes I wanna make a remark about one of the actors (Like : Wow, Robert Carlyle is a great kisser, not just in OUaT when he kisses Belle, but I seen him in a few other roles too, and it’s just…*drool* EVERY time) and there is no place where this fits.Is there anyone out there that agrees with me? And is this possible?

I guess that’s one possibilty, but with the Storybrooke characters, the FTL characters and the actors, wouldn’t that get a bit crowded and confusing? OUaT has a big cast. It would mean that threads drop pretty fast and that tends to have the nasty side-effect of same topics being repeated over and over, getting new threads, because most people don’t browse past topics on page 1.

The actors themselves aren’t really discussed outside of their characters with the exception of Colin o’Donohue (I’ve probably spelt that wrong) and that’s only because the Hook fans are worried about rumours that he is dying or something because he’s not been active on twitter.

Keeper of FelixI actually wouldn’t mind a separate section to talk about the actors themselves. A lot of the fans start liking the character and slowly learn to like the actor/actress him/her-self but don’t know much about them (for example the roles they used to play). A separate section would allow to share some of that information among the fans and it would feel ‘in the right place’ as well, since the “everything else off topic” just doesn’t cut the bill.
Also agree that if it was merged in the character discussion it would get mixed very easily and a lot of threads would be lost in the crowd.
PriceofMagic – the actors aren’t discussed precisely for that reason that there isn’t a section that would fit it.The section could start with the threads that we’ve had recently – ‘who would you have interviewed next?’ and ‘what questions would you ask the actors?’

I like the idea of an actor discussion board, but the Colin rumors need to stop. if that happens, I think that’ll solve a lot of the problem on it’s own.
One of the boards I used to be on had a section for each actor and each character and you were not allowed to say anything negative about the actor or the character while in those sections…and the mods heavily enforced it. In other sections you could say what you wanted but most people stayed pretty polite…some of the actors and writers actually frequented there.
Other forums I’ve been on used to sticky character and actor appreciation threads at the top so they wouldn’t get lost in all the new threads.

I think an actor board actually will help prevent such a rumor or at least contain it to one thread, where other, more positive conversations are going on too. My idea behind my request was actually to spread the love & appreciation we have for our OUaT actors, to inform eachother about the other things they have been in, so the love spreads out beyond OUaT. Some of these actors have played some terrific other roles and could be appreciated for that by all of us in that way.
As for the Colin thing, I’m constantly reminded of this comic rant that goes something like: Outrageous, this person you do not know and does not even know you exist has the audacity NOT to constantly keep you updated of every second of his life, and does not live to constantly feed your curiousity? How dare he have a private life! 😆 😆 😆
I mean really, people seem to have lost perspective there. Just because he is an actor, does not make his private life public property. But I do think the forum can benefit from a place where they can read about him, find interviews… and generally drool about him if they so choose. Actors like to know their work is appreciated… and having fans (not crazy obsessed stalkers) never hurt anyone’s acting career. And that’s what we want for them, right? A great career within and outside OUaTMost television show forums I’ve been on do indeed have a section to talk about the actors and post photos of them and videos etc in other projects. I know I love going on IMDB and looking up old and new stuff the actors have been in…if not seperate forums for the main cast then just seperate threads like “The Robert Carlyle in other projects thread” or something.
