I am so happy that I was right all along, like since day 1! Clever and yet so obvious!
Who else was right and/or wrong. Any thoughts on it?

I’m glad that his name is David because it would just be too much otherwise. He was Prince James, Charming, JOHN DOE (for 28 years in storybrooke) AND David. They definitely needed to pick one of those to be his real name, not rack it up to five names. It makes sense, anyway, because he was a shepherd and King David in the bible was a shepherd too!
I liked that it was during the chase with the Giant that it was revealed that he was David. It reminded me of the story of “David and Goliath”.
I didn’t doubt that David’s name was David. It just seems like the thing for Regina to do. When he woke up from the coma, he needed an identity so what better name than the peasant name he was born with. To Regina, this was probably a slap in the face, to be demoted from “Prince James” back to the lowly “Shepherd David”. He was no longer the beloved Prince.

I think his “David is weak” line deserves another look now.

It was fun the way they wrote the reveal with Grumpy questioning him, but, meh, after waiting so long, it was sort of an anti-climax that his name is just David.
I liked this scene, I thought it gave it some humour which broke the tension in the scene. I thought that they did a good job with it.
