I’m disappointed at this… read at your own risk
[adrotate group="5"]February 20, 2013 at 2:44 am #174383laurieanneParticipantI just saw it. I hate this twist. Isn’t life complicated enough for these people?
February 20, 2013 at 2:48 am #174385dub1026ParticipantI dont want another charming, snow and katherine situation. I love Swanfire too…
February 20, 2013 at 3:23 am #174388jolly rogerParticipantI couldn’t be happier about this. To me, this shouts CS. Me and many others thought that Neal would be fighting back into Emma’s life, but he’s not. The only person (other than her parents) that have fought for Emma is Hook. I guess that Emma and Hook are, what they call ‘canon’ after all 😀
This made my day 😀February 20, 2013 at 3:25 am #174389HappyEndingsSpectator@Jolly Roger wrote:

This made my day 😀When did Hook fight for Emma? ❓

Me too… It’s been long and drawn out already..It’s just overkill. Perhaps it is just part of no happy endings, and eventually Swanfire wins out 😉
Hopefully she’s Tinkerbell and the whole “doesn’t stop til she gets what she wants” thing will be her as this master manipulator. I don’t know. Ugh. WHYYY does she come to Storybrooke??
Maybe BF put a bug in her little fellow fairy’s ear. I mean, if Emma and Nealfire Pan are true love, it’s not like we haven’t seen BF keep apart true love before. And we still haven’t seen the whole story about her personal agenda behind that one yet.
Keeper Nealfire's/Bae's scarf, Henry and Neal's bribery ice cream sundae, Baelfire's sword, the coconut map, and more.
February 20, 2013 at 3:43 am #174393lilredParticipantPretty disappointed that, after receiving so much criticism last season for not having POC in their main cast/active characters, they are bringing a woman of color on to the show to seemingly be a part of a love triangle. Really hoping she has a greater story outside of her romance with Neal and maybe her own backstory to unfold.
As for swan fire – there’s a reason fate and destiny were thrown around in Manhattan. And, as MM said ‘If true love was easy – we’d all have it’. There’s going to be bumps in every characters journey. Who knows? Maybe Bae/Tamara will be a great match and I’ll have to ship Emma with someone else for awhile – I might have to start the Tiny Swan ship! Anyone interested? Maybe as a friendly fling? 😆
There is an impending war coming: I’m thinking romances might be moved to the back burner. I need some more action. Was a bit disappointed that we had no battlefield scenes last episode.

I didn’t mean literally.
What I mean is, Emma is used to pushing people out, putting her walls up. When she first came to SB, Mary fought her way in. This is what Hook has done. He put his trust in her. And even though she pushed him away, he keeps coming back. Any other person would just leave Emma if they were left on top of a Beanstalk, but he didn’t Yes, he did team up with Cora again, but he came back. He has never, not once pushed her away.
Take the hospital scene for example. The is not long after his whole dramatic break up speech, where he tells her that they are never ever getting back together. But the way he acted in that scene is not how someone acts is they are ‘done’ with someone. You can see in her face that as he wakes up, she goes back to protected Emma, but he beats down the walls, while also showing her the pain behind his mask.Another example. The famous beanstalk scene. He can read her within a couple of hours ( and she had been with Neal for ages and when he left her he still didn’t understand her). He starts talking to her, asking if she’s been in love etc. She cuts him off. With most people, well with any other person, they would’ve given up. But he keeps pushing. As it had already been stated by Adam and Eddy, he knows what ‘buttons to push’ with her.
This is what I mean. You may think that this is nothing. But you should look back at past episodes and see how many people Emma manages to sucessfully push away and you compare that to Hook. It’s about time that someone pushes to stay in her life. While these examples are sorta subtle examples of this, as we get more episodes you’ll see what I’m talking about.
I think next ep, or maybe the one after you’ll really see what I’m talking about. Because right now, Emma is an emotional wreck, so she’ll be trying to push him away with all her might. But (Hook being Hook) will fight his way back in.
Anyway, I couldn’t be more happier about this news 😀
February 20, 2013 at 4:05 am #174398MysteryKat25ParticipantWell that certainly throws a monkey wrench into things for now. But honestly one of the things I love about Emma is that there is no set, definitive endgame. She’s a new character that technically they can do whatever they want with. It’s not like Snow & Charming where we know they have to end up together so this could be a bump in the road for SwanFire or it could show that eventually they coexist for Henry’s sake but move on to other people, who knows. For all we know it was their “destiny” & “fate” to meet, have Henry, separate so Henry would bring them to SB to reunited with everybody else and break the curse. They’ve done that. Their grand purpose could have been to create the boy who would bring everybody together again. Emma is the product of true love, it was never said that Henry was (just saying for argument’s sake).
Directions can change too. They set up a nice “2 kids from FTL” thing with WoodenSwan too then threw that away, they’re always looking to see who has chemistry / what makes sense and could have thought maybe endgame for SwanFire and then could change things up down the line. We’ll just have to wait and see!
I like the fact that Henry is the product of SwanFire as it has many many possibilities, but I love the fact that regardless of that Emma is still “just Emma” and could end up with almost anybody. (In other words, keep enjoying whatever ship / ships you have her in til we actually SEE the endgame. Nothing regarding Emma is set in stone.)
And yes, some of us actually like SwanFire & CaptainSwan…it’s not always about shipping wars. For the record I like both…and Snowing, and Rumbelle, and…you get the point.

February 20, 2013 at 9:03 pm #174543PriceofMagicParticipantI like the idea that Neil has a fiancee. Just because he’s Henry’s father doesn’t mean he and Emma have to end up together, though I like the idea of Henry trying to push them together and perhaps trying to throw a spanner in the works for Emma’s and Bae’s respective partnerships with other people. Henry is team SwanFire for sure.
Whereas EF may run on magic and true love, the real world doesn’t. Emma nad Bae seeing separate people is more realistic. Also it portrays the message to kids that just because your parents aren’t together doesn’t mean you can’t still be a family.
All magic comes with a price!
