It was so logical that it went over my head at first, but I realized today that the scene where Neal demands to know Henry’s age is a perfect parallel to the night when the duke demanded to know Baelfire’s age when he and Rumple were trying to make a run for it.

And just like Rumple, Emma told Henry not to answer. Just like his father, Henry did, though he didn’t know the repercussions of his answer like Bae. But that answer changed everything all over again for Rumple, just as it did the first time.

    😯
You’re right, what could this mean??
One thing that is different about Bae and Henry in this situation is that Bae tried to ‘save’ his father from being the Dark One by taking action to get his father away from the magic corrupting him, whereas Henry haven’t tried to do that with Regina, not yet..

That is a good point. But i think it relates more Emma-Rumpel than Henry-Bae.
Mainly because of that last escene, in which their respective sons are talking each other after breaking Emma’s and Mr. Gold hearts.
It seems to me like; both had made the same mistakes with their children, both of them being more afraid of their own inner demons than of their children shake, and both of them paying a high price for it.
