So I was just thinking about Storybrooke (what else is new?), and it occurred to me how amusing their situation is in some respects. Because they were all given memories of our world, does that mean that they now know each others stories? Are they familiar with other versions of their stories? Do you think they have seen the Disney films or are aware of them?

i think so. it is sort of pointed out during Whale’s story; all of them kew about Frankenstein. So, what makes the other stories different?

But they also know that the stories from the Land Without Magic aren’t quite right. Since they know that about their own stories, they probably aren’t rushing to judge everyone else based on those stories…any more than any human does.

Keeper of Belle's Gold magic, sand dollar, cloaks, purple FTL outfit, spell scroll, library key, copy of Romeo and Juliet, and cry-muffling pillow, Rumple's doll, overcoat, and strength, and The Timeline. The stories they know are ‘our’ version – fake memories – of the stories.

In 2×02, Henry asks David if he knows the Mad Hatter and David says, “No. I mean the Prince ‘me’ doesn’t know him, but David has memories of reading Alice in Wondeland in school…..who is he, here?”

I wouldn’t be surprised if Regina banned the story of Snow White from Storybrooke in all mediums (books, movies, etc.)

Mary Margaret and Emma talked about the stories in the book during season one as well and about how Henry thought MM was Snow and Emma was her child. I see to remember MM being surprised by Snow having a daughter, and Emma said these were apparently not the traditional versions of the stories. So MM seemed to only know the traditional Snow White version from our world.

Anyone else notice how in the first episode of season 2 David didn’t know who doctor whale was but he suddenly knows in the latest whale ep, ” in the name of the brother”? Emma made the comment about Frankenstein and then david says “…thats whale”.

They need to address at some point how all of our world knows the stories, I’m guessing maybe Greg will be part of this when he starts to figure out they are the real fairy tale characters.
