I was just looking up the order for Oz books and found that L. Frank Baum wrote a short story (one of his last) called “The Littlest Giant: An Oz Story” – we know the creators love Oz as we’ve seen many references to it so it’s interesting that they chose to give us a peak into the Jack & the Beanstalk world through the “littlest giant” aka Tiny.

In trying to find a copy to read I came across a podcast called “Royal Podcast of Oz” which read this story on the anniversary of L. Frank Baum’s birthday and the 21 minute clip can be found here: http://royalpodcastoz.podbean.com/2012/05/14/the-littlest-giant/

Just found it interesting so thought I’d share. Probably not an original idea to begin with for the littlest giant, but somebody may have seen it when doing research into the world of Oz and found this short story as I did. Sometimes (and I speak as a writer) you come across a random little phrase that launches lots of cool ideas.

Cool! Thanks for sharing. 🙂 It seems vaguely familiar to me, but I don’t remember the plot so I don’t think I’ve read it. Does anyone else know the plot?
