Seems like the battle is less between the good and evil characters now and more about which will win within each character. Henry’s adamant that good always wins…but Snow’s fighting the evil in her, and Regina and Rumple have been about that battle all season. Did it win with Cora?

I think it did win in Cora – she refused to let the good in her win by choosing power over love and ripping out her heart. That’s similar to the choice Rumpel made, but at least he’s trying to be good now; same with Regina.

    498! Oops wrong thread 😆

I think Once never was about good people versus evil people and who wins. It’s about the battle of good versus evil choices in ourselves and how that affects us and others. How we act in anger. How two wrongs do not make one right. How we battle with the poor choices we make, how we redeem ourselves, and how redemption can go horrible wrong.
But also the good side of love and selflessness, how we can help people.
The show tells us there is never a black and white, only many shades of grey. Not one character is 100% evil, there are just flawed, like we all are, and some are more flawed then other. Sometimes we can overcome that and sometimes we can’t, but we all battle with that line between good and evil every day, just like the people in Storybrooke. Only they have magic added to the mix. Even terrible people can do good, and even good people can do terrible things.

Henry is a kid, so he has that black and white view of the world, and that’s his role in the story: innocence. But all the grown-ups know that that isn’t true, as we grow up we learn that making the right decision isn’t always easy, even if we do what think is right. They try to do the right thing, but it doesn’t always work that way. And some choose evil to get ahead… as a quick fix, rather then going the long and often hard way. Because to be good, you often need to sacrifice something. By doing somethng bad, you usually get what you want in the moment, but you get the price later on. Which is what Snow White now has to deal with.
And that is how we battle our demons in a daily basis.
