I have seen lots of theories in the forums theorizing about Ariel and Hook, and I decided to make a common thread just for the Hookriel/FishHook relationship 😛
So I realize that we haven’t actually got the little mermaid story yet, but we have gotten a fair number of hints that we may be getting it eventually.
1. Regina wanting to talk to Rumple about a mermaid
2. The Squid Ink
3. Rumple mentioning that you could only get the squid ink if you were a mermaid, or him.
4. The fact that Neverland has been mentioned, and there is Mermaid’s lagoon in Neverland
5. the writers have said that they wanted to give us the little mermaid story in season 3As for evidence that Hook and Ariel could have a history:
1. In the movie Ariel’s Beginning you find out that her mother was killed when she was crushed by a pirate ship
2. In the Little Mermaid TV series Sebastian gets stranded on a pirate ship and Ariel and Scuttle have to rescue them
3. Hook said he was going to Neverland, and there is a Mermaid’s Lagoon thereInterested in what fans have been saying and creating about Hookriel?

What do you all think? Plausible? Possible? Absolutely Adorable? 😛 Do you need to wait until we see Ariel to decide?

I think the writers could have fun with it because Ariel is a blank slate right now in the Onceiverse. In the traditional Hans Christian Andersen version, though, the mermaid’s love is unrequited. I don’t want too many new characters as permanent recurring additions, but Ariel is an exception!

I’m not a ‘shipper but I can see tying in Ariel’s story with Hook. I would even buy that they met at some point. I mean, when Ariel saw Prince Eric for the first time, he was on a ship.

I want Prince Eric to be someone different.
I’ve already pictured Tom Welling or Milo Ventimiglia for Eric 😆
I just googled them, they are indeed Beautiful too 😀
