    An idea leading up to April 21st / How to make sure people tune in

    I have an idea and if any ABC powers that be read this board, I hope they might take this into consideration.

    The hiatus is something the fans hate, and I am saddened to see conversation dwindling over the course of it. To help, here are some things that can help out…

    Teasers:
    1 Random screen shot daily
    * Fans have to guess which upcoming episode it is from
    * Can be an action-scene
    * Can be a character
    * Can be a prop
    * Can be a picture from the set
    * Can be a blurred in-movement picture fans can scratch their heads over

    Script teasers
    * Like from above, fans have to guess which episode it’s from
    * Can be very specific, or can be very vague
    * Can be released without fans knowing which character says those lines (heh, heh!)

    Sneak Peeks
    * Getting closer to April 21st, I’m sure fans would love sneak peaks

    Commercials
    * ABC should have commercials reminding fans that Once is coming back soon
    * Commercials should be more than just the usual teaser. By that, I mean quick 2-or 3 music videos to dramatically profile Once Upon A Time relationships and story lines.
    * For relationship profiles, song ideas that come to mind for Captain Swan, Swanfire, Snowing, and Rumbelle are “Broken Wings” by Foreigner, “I want to know what Love is” by Foreigner, “Silver Springs” by Fleetwood Mac, “Far Away” by Nickelback

    Have fun!
    * Fans have been asking in twitter for the OUAT cast to do the Harlem Shake. If not that, how about a video of the cast doing a different song (I still like the Macarena) they can let their hair down and have some fun with! Let the cast take a break from their roles for a few minutes to get silly! I bet they could have fun with Kenny Chesney’s “Pirate Flag”.
    * If there are any pictures from set of the cast being silly, then release those over the course of the next couple of weeks! Surprise fans with something to laugh at! Some of this has already been done, and it’s great! More, please! 😀

    ABC should make a big deal of Hook’s return to Once Upon A Time. It’s a good way to “hook-in” some increased viewership for the remainder of the season. A good song for that would be AC/DC’s “Back in Black”.

    ABC should “take it to the street”! Take cameras and microphones out to street corners talking to perfect strangers, asking them who their favorite is on Once Upon A Time. Sometimes, use a OUAT actor/actress to do it, and get fans squealing! They should have fans tell the cameras how certain scenes made them feel (i.e: “My heart broke when ____”), and fans interviewed would be saying things like “I’ll definitely be watching when the show comes back”, or something like that. I’m sure fans will want to wave and blow kisses to their favorite actors/actresses. What will this tell the person who hasn’t been watching Once or may have stopped? It’ll say “What have I been missing out on!”.

    In other words, ABC should make a big deal of Once Upon A Time. Use the resources you have! Put them to work because if you do, I think you’ll like the return you get from it!
