One of Disney’s most cherished teen stars of all time has sadly passed away. She is most famous for her breakout role on “The Mickey Mouse Club” as one of the Mouseketeers. Her other work includes “Babes in Toyland”, and “Beach Blanket Bingo.” Unfortunately she was suffering with multiple sclerosis (MS) for the last 20 years or so, to the point where in recent years she couldn’t even talk or move on her own. She passed away just today due complications from said disease.

She was! Also, she & Tommy Sands (who played Tom in Babes in Toyland) sang the opening theme song to the original version of The Parent Trap.

Love those movies. She’ll be missed.

    Really? I didn’t know that.

I had the fortune to see her in person. She passed right in front of me at the Grand Opening of WDW’s MGM Studios, now know as Hollywood Studios, on May 1, 1989. I was surprised how tiny she was. She couldn’t walk by herself and had to be helped by two people. I found later that she was already feeling the effects in 1987 but did not announce it until 1992.

    Don't grow up. It's a trap.

Yep 🙂 It was the same year in fact (1961) as their appearance together in Babes in Toyland. On IMDB if you go down to the soundtrack section of their pages rather than the acting one you’ll see it. They were a popular duo at the time I guess (and I adored them in Babes in Toyland).
