ParticipantOncers –
If you have friends or family in Boston, MA – DO NOT try calling them. They cut off cell phone connection. Get on social media to connect with loved ones!
My younger brother lives in Boston, he was a mile away from the explosion today. He’s ok, but the only way we are staying connected is through twitter and Facebook.

ParticipantI saw texting works too b/c it takes up less bandwidth.
I’m glad your brother is okay.
It is a 😥 😥 day today.
Google has also set up a person finder page.

ParticipantBoston has been my home for most of my life and it will be the place I forever call home. I know live in Maine but this hurts me so much. I was in Boston when 9-11 happened and this all just brings by terrible memories.
Everyone I know that was down there has been accounted for and are safe. Rini, I am glad to hear your brother is safe.
Praying tonight for all those families and friends that were not as fortunate.

ParticipantRini and RumpleLove, I’m glad your loved ones are safe.
It happened about 5am my time. I was on Twitter because one of my fave singers was running the marathon. One moment the fandom was tweeting him congratulations for having run such a great race and come in under the 4 hour mark. The next moment everyone was in a panic, (thankfully he quickly checked in to let us know he and his family were safe). Some fans tweeted that the fact he ran such a good time saved their lives. They’d been standing right where the bomb went off to watch him finish about 5 minutes before it happened.
So scary and such senseless violence. 🙁 My thoughts and prayers are with the city of Boston, (a place of which I have many fond memories), and especially those directly affected by this tragedy.

ParticipantI watched the press conference this morning and they have A LOT of people working on the investigation. Hopefully, Boston PD will catch the people who did this very soon. And I heard this morning about a little boy dying from the attack yesterday. 😥

ParticipantSuch senseless violence…
I’m fortunate that my brother is safe. He was going to be at the finishing line – he is a law student at BU, and wasn’t in class – he decided to turn back because he was cold, he was on his way back home. It’s amazing that the little decisions, the ones we don’t think about, they can impact our lives in the biggest capacity.
There are so many others who are hurt. My heart truly goes out to them. Everyone in Boston – they are in my thoughts.
Thank you Oncers. Thank you for responding in such a sensitive way, your kind words not only for me, but for everyone affected, we are a good group here. Thank you for telling your stories.

ParticipantI know Ginny, Josh, Meghan, Emilie, Keegan, Chad Michael Collins (Gerhardt), Jane, Sarah Bolger, Raphael, David Anders, and MRJ have all expressed their sympathy via twitter…
I’m sure all the other cast and crew members – Boston is in their thoughts.
I’m so thankful for that.
