Is there anyway that we can post the actual video instead of the link? It is so nice to actually view the video instead of clicking on the link then watching it. 💡

    Thanks

I don’t think so. I’m not seeing it on my board dash as I’m writing this.

I do not think we can have the actual videos posted here ….

1/ The podcast / forums and other sections of this board already cost Daniel and crew a lot of money… if there was more traffic using more broadband he would have to upgrade his server even more… it might drive him to the point he has to back off. I do not think we realize when we post animated gifs, logos, flashing avatars, multiple pictures we realize how much broad band we use up. BROADBAND= = $$$$$$

2/ MOST of the videos belong and originate from ABC. They release it through ABC MEDIA by subscription. In order to post them in you tube / or on web pages / blogs someone has to purchase them …… TV, entertainment, news blogs subscribe /pay for the information and have permission to post them. Us re-posting them here could get Daniel and crew into trouble.

    “That too.” HA HA!

In this case, the videos, I assume from YouTube, would not cost us money or bandwidth because YouTube would be the host. But it’s a technology limitation right now.

I’m planning to change forum software this summer to something else that will be more flexible, integrated with the rest of the site, and extensible to do stuff like automatically embed YouTube links.

@Daniel I run a few smaller forums myself, and if you’re looking for something flexible, a recommend Xenforo ( http://xenforo.com/ )

It works wonders and can do a lot of the stuff that people request!
