Ok – So now that we know from Adam and Eddy’s interview that Maleficient’s going to make a come back in some form during the last 3 episodes, it makes me very excited to see her again !

It made me wonder though…In ”A Land Without Magic” – Regina says to Emma that Maleficient’s punishment was ”different than everyone else’s”. Has this ever been discussed ? Why was it different than Snow’s let’s say…She hates Snow with a burning passion, so why wasn’t she the one locked up in the ground alone with her memories ? (I mean, THAT would have been a real punishment for Snow)

Do you think they’ll eventually explore more of Regina and Maleficient’s relationship ?

I’m hoping that will be answered when we see Maleficient which will probably be in this Sunday's episode The Evil Queen when Mal appears in her dragon form

Maleficent’s punishment differed from everyone else’s because she was a real rival for power. Who knows whether Maleficent could remember her FTL identity while in an animal form though? Maybe, but maybe not. It’s possible Regina resented Maleficent as a rival for power. Also, in episode 1×2, Maleficent tried to prevent Regina from acquiring and casting the dark curse. Perhaps locking her rival away in a basement for nearly 3 decades was Regina’s way of showing dominance.

My guess is that Malificent’s was different because she was already in prison and in dragon form when the curse hit, and Regina brought her along (much like all the magic in her vault) in a prison that was likely magical to hold her. Maybe in 2×20 we find out a little about why Regina might lock her up (but it could just be the power thing, but Malificent did have intimate knowledge about the curse because it was in her posession for a while. Maybe she knew how to break it and could have messed with it)

Suddenly it seems that the whole “Fight for Storybrooke” thing is starting to come together. All the characters running into the enchanted forest….being chased by a dragon… And to think some people thought that vid meant nothing. I think whenever we do Maleficent, she ain’t gonna be too peachy.
