Who do you think Greg and Tamara are working for? Greg said there was an entire group of people whose mission is to eliminate magic from our world. They’ve done it before, and now that they have the fail-safe, Greg and Tamara have orders to eliminate Storybrooke. So, who comprises the “Home Office” network? Are they just concerned citizens who, like Greg, suffered at the hands of magic? What’s Tamara’s story? Is the Home Office actually a religious group, since Tamara called magic unholy? Or, are they a group of scientists with near-religous devotion to their mission to irradiate magic from Earth?

I’m thinking Wendy and the brothers started it and it’s been taken over by several people since then.

I think you’re right RG. I remember someone posted that it might have been an organization started by the Darling parents to find the Darling children, but it looks like the kids took it in to their own hands. Being a family of means, it’s definitely not out of the realm of possibility. Since they live in England and all of this is taking place in the states, this means it’s an international organization. I’m still holding out for an EPCOT name drop, just because it would make me happy.

Yes, that was my theory but I’m amending it tonight after this episode. I wonder if it will be called the Darling Corporation.

PS: Tamara has to be the daughter of RH and Marian because NO ONE hates magic THAT MUCH for no reason.

Totally on board with this theory about Tamara being their daughter. Something evil plagued Marian while she was with child, so it’d make a lot of sense if Tamara is her daughter who grew to hate magic for what it did to her mom.

I’m still not keen on the Darlings being the the founders of the Home Office, because they are just too darling to condone murder of people like Pinocchio. But, Wendy was warned about the danger of magic by Baelfire. I just hope Wendy isn’t a crazy zealot like Tamara.

Just rewatched. When Tamara has the gun on Neal she says that magic is a “poison.” Marian suffered from some sort magical poison curse. More proof.

Indeed, yes. Though I find it curious that Tamara seems to hate all magic, since it’s fairy magic that saved Maid Marian. You’d expect Tamara just to hate dark magic. I wonder what Tamara would do to the fairies if she had the chance to zap them with her taser.

You know I like the idea that the Darling children started the organization. Maybe it didn’t go bad till after they died.

I don’t know. Marion suffered from a poison curse, but they also used magic to get rid of it. Robin used a magical bow and said, “Don’t you just love magic?” Tamara and her organization use science to destroy magic, they seem opposed to using magic at all. Although I guess we have evidence that they will use the magical trigger next episode. I don’t think that Robin and Marion really had a hatred of magic. With so little time left in this season I think we may be left with the unsatisfying feeling of realizing that they weren’t super important in the scheme of things after all.

Maybe Tamara is the grand-daughter of Wendy and she is following in the family tradition, to get rid of magic. But I do like the idea of Tamara being the daughter of Robin Hood and Marian.
